We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Marine\/HSSEQ Superintendent<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Seniority Level:<\/strong> Mid-Senior level<br \/>\n<strong>Industry:<\/strong> Maritime<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Functions and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for managing compliance with Thome procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and industry codes, for assigned vessels\/Facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains regular contact with vessel Masters \/ OIM for all HSE and operational matters.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain KPI\u2019s for the Oil and Gas Facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with clients and Owners to develop Bridging documents.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring correct regular reporting by assigned vessels\/Facilities in accordance with Thome procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Acts as liaison with assigned vessels\/Facilities and authorities for flag &amp; port state matters.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring assigned vessels are maintained up to date with all applicable publications, charts, and industry codes and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for developing Corrective and Preventive actions and Root Cause Analysis from internal and external audits for assigned vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for conducting internal audits and inspections for assigned vessels\/Facilities<\/li>\n<li>Assist in \/ manage incident investigations and analysis and follow-up actions for assigned vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for arranging external audits for assigned vessels as directed by Marine Operations Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for carrying out onboard training for crews for Thome Offshore systems and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Vessel for SIRE and OVID inspection as required for assigned vessels\/Facilities<\/li>\n<li>Participates in ISM Management Review meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring follow-up for corrective &amp; preventive actions for assigned vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for providing status updates for corrective and preventive actions as input for the central corrective action registry for assigned vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring vessels carry out proper weekly \/ monthly reporting for all HSSEQ matters as per Thome procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring lessons learned and preventive actions from other vessels are disseminated and actioned for assigned vessels\/facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for reviewing and assisting in Risk Assessments and Management of Change requests for assigned vessels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation and Qualification:<\/p>\n<div id=\"quads-ad9\" class=\"quads-location quads-ad9\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Class 1 Certificate of Competency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience as Senior Officer for a minimum of 3 years on FSO\/FPSO.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate who are deemed technically competent and without shore experience will be considered.<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record as Superintendent for a minimum of 2 year in a reputed shore based Shipping Company will have an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Candidate who are deemed technically competent will be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as Master for a minimum of 1 year on Tanker or on DP vessel in worldwide operations.<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record as Superintendent for a minimum of 1 year in a shore based Shipping Company will have an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/marine-hsseq-superintendent-at-thome-group-1441210167\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thome Group of Companies is a dynamic provider of integrated ship management services to the international shipping and offshore industries.
