The goal of Breakthrough ACTION-Nigeria is to increase the practice of 17 priority individual and household level behaviors and five provider targeted behaviors in the areas of malaria; maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition; family planning and reproductive health (RH); and tuberculosis, while increasing the capacity of national and sub-national entities to coordinate and oversee quality SBC programming. Implementation will vary by health area across eleven states. We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance &amp; Administrative Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cross River<br \/>\n<strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Finance &amp; Admin Assistant is responsible for providing office support by assisting with administrative and financial systems, logistics and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In addition to the general duties described above, specific duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the project field office petty cash, prepare payments, ensure proper authorization for payments, distribute payments as required, and supervise the processing of staff claims and advances and per diem.<\/li>\n<li>Complete purchase orders, time and attendance records and prepare necessary reports for relevant senior Admin and Finance Officers, and Deputy Project Director \u2013 Malaria &amp; TB.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with identification and payments to vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Submit monthly financial reports as required to the Senior Finance Officer II.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the BA-N State Coordinator\/Senior Program Officer \u2013 Malaria and staff with preparation and logistics for community activities, meetings, trainings and other events as needed at the field office.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain general office systems including filing; coordinating timely timesheet submission; sending, receiving and distributing faxes; and photocopying.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the office staff with the tracking and development of administrative documents;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain organized files on all admin and financial related reports and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out other tasks to support BA-N Integrated project efforts as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities. The position reports to the Senior Program Officer- Malaria\/State Coordinator for the respective state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and\/or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND or Bachelor\u2019s degree with at least 3 years work experience with admin and finance support for health programs<\/li>\n<li>Strong spoken and written English skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Internet research abilities<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Well-organized, with ability to track multiple activities and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Experience in providing administrative support to work teams<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work successfully in a cross-cultural, team-based environment<\/li>\n<li>High level administrative writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, or similar software<\/li>\n<li>Professional and organized<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in supply management and inventory control<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Hausa language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Cover Letters and CV only as one PDF document to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hiring@ba-nigeria.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>hiring@ba-nigeria.org<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nNote<\/strong><br \/>\nTo apply for this position, please follow the instructions exactly as described below.
