The programme will focus on supporting improved learning for an estimated 1.5 million children in three states in northern Nigeria and support state and non-state systems benefitting 8,000,000 children nationally.<\/li>\n<li>We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive the daily technical implementation of the programme for activities focused on curriculum development, governance systems, policy design, and other areas, adjusting approaches as implementation realities dictate<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and review technical products and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Support the national programme manager in the daily management of the programme, including managing relationships with DFID, other donor-funded programmes, and the Nigerian government<\/li>\n<li>Support the national programme manager in representing the programme to the Nigerian government, stakeholders, and public and private sector counterparts<\/li>\n<li>Perform at a senior management level, including managing staff in a matrixed system with a focus on adaptive management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Education, Social Science, International Development, or a related discipline is required; Advanced Degree in Education or relevant discipline is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of ten years of professional experience managing large (\u00a330m and above), complex donor-funded education projects of similar scale, scope and complexity in developing countries, including a minimum of four years as team leader<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated international thought leadership in the field of international education preferred<\/li>\n<li>Experience leading large teams and managing programs that achieve results, with a focus on adaptive management<\/li>\n<li>Track record of progressive responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Operational and Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Nigeria<strong><br \/>\nJob Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We seek a Senior Operational and Finance Manager for the anticipated multiyear, DFID-funded education programme Partnership for Learning for All in Nigeria (PLANE).<\/li>\n<li>PLANE aims to improve learning for an estimated 1.5 million children in Kano, Kaduna, and Jigawa states in northern Nigeria and support state and nonstate systems benefitting 8 million children nationally.<\/li>\n<li>We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct all aspects of financial management, including financial systems implementation, budgeting, risk, expenditure tracking, financial reporting, and accounting<\/li>\n<li>Oversee operational, procurement, logistical, and administrative functions<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the government of Nigeria, stakeholders, and public and private sector counterparts to support programme implementation<\/li>\n<li>Establish standards and procedures to ensure compliance with British government regulations, Chemonics\u2019 corporate policies, and Nigerian law<\/li>\n<li>Supervise project human resources management, including recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline required;
