We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Community Mobilization Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Damaturu, Yobe<br \/>\n<strong>Starting date:<\/strong> As soon as possible<br \/>\n<strong>Direct Line Manager:<\/strong> WASH Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Objective 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the WASH Officer to carry out Needs Assessment on WASH Activities at the LGA and Community Level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CLTS Communities Identification Need Assessment and Selection.<\/li>\n<li>Communities Identification, Assessments and selection for Hygiene Promotion.<\/li>\n<li>Site Identification for emergency Latrine construction.<\/li>\n<li>Site Identification for VIP Latrine construction at facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing support and supervision on WASH community mobilization activities at the LGA and community level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducting direct sensitization meeting with community Leaders, Village Head, volunteers and caregivers in Communities within the LGA catchment areas to communicate details of AAH program activities with a specific focus on WASH.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of communities\u2019 hygiene promotion and sanitation sensitization using CLTS, PHAST and CHAST approach through regular contract and exchange and facilitating Community level planning and decision-making processes.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring good condition between SMOH\/LGA Health staff, Cvs and Water Users committee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Objective 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the WASH Officer in context assessment and developing materials for Hygiene promotion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the WASH officer in conducting home visits and to the community (school, Health facilities, etc.) to identify gaps in term Hygiene, sanitation and use of water.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the WASH officer in preparing training modules for the promotion of Hygiene in the communities ;<\/li>\n<li>Assist the WASH officer in developing teaching tools adapted to different audiences: song, role play, games, meeting, and training course.<\/li>\n<li>Assist identify targeted partners within the communities: school, Hospital, clinic, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internal &amp; External Relationship<\/strong><br \/>\nInternal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WASH Officer: Technical hierarchical relationship \u2013 exchange of information, collaboration, coordination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>External:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local governmental and non-governmental partners: As directed by WASH Officer exchange of information, coordination, training, assessment of\u00a0 technical feasibilities<\/li>\n<li>Local representatives of international aid organisations: As directed by the WASH Officer exchange of information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Weekly plan and report against the plan<\/li>\n<li>Monthly field activity report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a National Diploma in Health, Hygiene and Sanitation field, or 1 experience on related field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in hygiene promotion and community mobilization<\/li>\n<li>Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Kanuri<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to AAH\u00a0 mission, values and policy.<\/li>\n<li>Motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible,<\/li>\n<li>Two years relevant work experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience of work in the humanitarian sector<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of the intervention area\/s and local economy<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience with AAH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration<\/strong><br \/>\nMinimum Monthly Basic Salary: N109,897 per month.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acfinternational.applytojob.com\/apply\/zivRMbUb14\/Community-Mobilization-Assistant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>11th September, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Action Against Hunger works to save lives by combating\u00a0 hunger and diseases that threaten the lives of vulnerable communities, through nutrition, food security, water and sanitation, health and advocacy.
