We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0Corporate Affairs Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:\u00a0<\/strong> 23358<br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Victoria Island<br \/>\n<strong> Professional area:<\/strong> Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications<br \/>\n<strong>Contract type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\nProfessional level: Experienced<br \/>\n<strong>Position Purpose<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Corporate Affairs &amp; Communication Director West Africa, the CA Manager is responsible for implementing the cluster\u2019s Corporate Affairs &amp; Communication strategy for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regulatory Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder Engagament<\/li>\n<li>Government relations<\/li>\n<li>Corporate and Media Communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main Areas Of Responsibility<\/strong><br \/>\nRegulatory Monitoring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anticipates and monitors developments of tobacco-control and fiscal policy developments such as excise tax. Provide a basic assessment of their potential implications.<\/li>\n<li>Pro-actively highlights issues to the Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications (CA&amp;C) Manager such that anticipated challenges are addressed in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develops and maintains up to date stakeholder maps used to implement pre-determined CAC strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Represents JTI at local trade, business association meetings and industry programmes. Ensures that JTI\u2019s views and positions are well represented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Government Relations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active engagement with officials of relevant Ministries, Agencies &amp; Departments (MDAs) to drive opportunities where JTI\u2019s positions and solutions can be effectively presented towards a reasonable and feasible regulatory environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Media and Corporate Communications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Content development and production of JTI\u2019s West Afrcia newsletter.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in preparing engagement tools such as talking points, press releases, presentations, background profiles etc<\/li>\n<li>Media monitoring: Daily scouring of reputable news sources, prepare and file relevant press clippings.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly media coverage report highlighting relevant news reports over the period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Localizing global\/Regional Regulatory Initiatives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assists in localizing and global\/regional CA&amp;C priorities in line with developing local strategies as and when required. The objective is to ensure the effective implementation and roll-out of global\/regional initiatives and strategies in line with local market environment.<\/li>\n<li>Other duties as may be assigned by the CA&amp;C Director WA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Experience &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor degree preferably in Media &amp; Communication, Political Science, Law or Business Administration.<\/li>\n<li>High Level of general\/current affairs Knowledge. Proven strong interpersonal skills, and a team player<\/li>\n<li>High level of relationship building. High level of\u00a0 cultural sensitivity , and sense of prudence<\/li>\n<li>High degree of tact and confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Strong reporting, analytical and negotiating skills<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years managerial experience in Public Affairs or Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications, preferably in a regulated FMCG industry.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
