In America, they are known as Cost Engineers. Quantity Surveying functions is carried out in other countries under a variety of names. Thus, the role is universal. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Membership Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Membership Registration, Coordination and control including organizing membership meetings, (AGM, BEGM, Emergency, extra-ordinary) etc.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing members records and update regularly.<\/li>\n<li>Managing and responding to correspondences from all grades of members.<\/li>\n<li>Processing all membership payments in consultation with finance\/accounts officer.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the DES membership and standard on membership issues as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Performing duties relating to membership in accordance with membership policies and guidelines 2015 as approved and published by the institute or as may be amended.<\/li>\n<li>Preliminary vetting and presentation of membership application forms for membership committee and council\u2019s attention.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking all other duties assigned by D.E.S membership and standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Statistics, Humanities or Mathematics (preferably statistics)<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail with an ability to focus on critical elements and, at the same time remain mindful of the big picture.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal to express complex ideas in simpler terms.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and maintain a clear assessment of requirements and priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Recognized qualifications such as chartered status would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of the computer.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent team player with the ability to work independently and through own initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Application Letter and CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@niqs.org.ng\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>hr@niqs.org.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0clearly indicating \u201cMembership Officer\u201d as subject of your mail<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>25th September, 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) was founded in 1969 by a group of Nigerians who trained, qualified and practiced in the United Kingdom but who upon returning to&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[4,59],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
