The goal of Breakthrough ACTION-Nigeria is to increase the practice of 17 priority individual and household level behaviors and five provider targeted behaviors in the areas of malaria; maternal, newborn, child health and nutrition; family planning and reproductive health (RH); and tuberculosis, while increasing the capacity of national and sub-national entities to coordinate and oversee quality SBC programming. Implementation will vary by health area across eleven states. We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Media Assistant II<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The project is seeking a versatile and creative social media personnel to join the team. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that meets the needs of several distinct audiences.<\/li>\n<li>The Social Media Officer will work closely with the Breakthrough ACTION Nigeria thematic teams to develop a social media strategy with behaviour change objectives.<\/li>\n<li>S\/he will also work closely with the project team and the global Breakthrough ACTION social media team to develop and disseminate content on project-related news and learnings. channels.<\/li>\n<li>The role will also include collaboration responsibilities (including technical assistance) with other implementing partners and government stakeholders such as the Federal Ministry of Health, National Tuberculosis, and Leprosy Control Programme (NTBLCP) and the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe specific duties of this position will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive social media strategy for the project which includes behavior change and communications objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with counterpart colleagues at FMOH and other implementing partners to develop visually appealing content and schedule campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Utilize the latest social media best practices and technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Work with copywriters and designers to ensure written and visual content is informative and appealing.<\/li>\n<li>Leverage relationships with industry professionals and influencers to push project content.<\/li>\n<li>Guided by the social media strategy, develop and implement strategies to drive traffic to the toll-free lines and media programs.<\/li>\n<li>Alongside the knowledge management unit, develop field success stories and Vox pops towards giving a human face to the project.<\/li>\n<li>Build capacity of relevant staff at FMOH on social media management skills<\/li>\n<li>Define, monitor and evaluate important social media analytics.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Alongside the knowledge management unit, develop field success stories and Vox pops towards giving a human face to the project.<\/li>\n<li>Curate Nigeria project-specific written and visual content for global project channels and platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Based on the social media strategy, develop and evaluate specific social media campaigns as required by thematic areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Bachelor\u2019s degree in Social\/Health Sciences, Mass Communication, Information Communications Technology, Public Administration or related discipline is required.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of standard social media algorithms is a must for this role.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills and attention to details is essential;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of key health sector players in the public and aid sectors in Nigeria required;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of standard INGO administrative procedures is essential.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills (written &amp; spoken) in English language and one or more Nigerian language(s) is required;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and proactively.<\/li>\n<li>1-3 years\u2019 experience carrying out related task with donor-funded project is desirable;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in social media campaign management is required;<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience implementing USAID-funded or donor-funded health programs is strongly preferred;<\/li>\n<li>Exquisite experience using at least 2 relevant social media applications;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their Cover Letters and CV only as one PDF document to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hiring@ba-nigeria.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>hiring@ba-nigeria.org<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The subject line of your e-mail should be the job title along with your location.
