We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Niger<br \/>\n<strong> Employment Type:<\/strong> Full time\/ Part- Time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must have a degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS)<\/li>\n<li>Must have a fellowship from either the West African College of Physicians or the National Postgraduate College of Nigeria<\/li>\n<li>Must have 4-6 years of experience in mental health service provision<\/li>\n<li>Applicant must be a registered member of Medical and Dental council Of Nigeria and should still own a valid practicing license<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting application<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe post holder will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for patient assessment and diagnosis prior to admission, in patient care, discharge planning and aftercare<\/li>\n<li>Clinically support, coordinate and consult for sister organisations<\/li>\n<li>Organize and supervise weekly clinical meetings<\/li>\n<li>Play an active role in our sister charity organization, Reconnect Health Development Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Take a lead role in developing mental health services<\/li>\n<li>Be required to perform on call duties.<\/li>\n<li>Construct an accurate summary of patient\u2019s needs, strengths, and a comprehensive individualized risk assessment that contributes to care planning.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate effectively through regular contact with patients, relatives and any other concerned bodies<\/li>\n<li>Run family sessions in line with the patients treatment plan and when the need arises<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to other departments in the organization \u2013 Business development, Administration and Management.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Clinical leadership in interaction, planning and collaboration with multidisciplinary team comprising of Psychiatric Nurses, Support Workers, and Clinical Psychologists in delivering a comprehensive high quality service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their Application Letter and CV to:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"mailto:nigermedics@synapseservices.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nigermedics@synapseservices.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> 29th November, 2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: The subject of the email should be \u201cConsultant Psychiatrist- Niger\u201d failure to abide by this would lead to automatic disqualification.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Synapse Services is a Centre for Psychological Medicine that is committed to providing a full range of mental health and substance misuse services in a caring, patient- centred environment.\u00a0 We&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":10165,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[17,33],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
