Babban Gona is an innovative model designed to serve the bottom of the pyramid and transform agriculture into a job-creation engine.<\/p>\n<p>Through this agricultural franchise, Babban Gona offers a suite of services to smallholder farmers, helping them to overcome the challenges of fragmentation and low economies of scale. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Team Lead \u2013 Software Engineering<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a Team Lead- Software Engineering you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will be developing robust mobile and web applications.<\/li>\n<li>You will work alongside other members of Babban Gona\u2019s Product Development team and own technical delivery of projects.<\/li>\n<li>You will be primarily aimed at Android development.<\/li>\n<li>You will be also doing light web development and scripting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nMust Haves:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have 4+ years of experience in Software Development or an equivalent of education and experience .<\/li>\n<li>You have basic knowledge of software development life cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation) and execution models (Agile, Iterative Development, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>You have the ability to develop Android apps using any framework desired.<\/li>\n<li>You have understanding of databases, with proficiency in SQL.<\/li>\n<li>You have the ability to build Microsoft Access data applications while using VBA and Macros.<\/li>\n<li>You have familiarity with build tools.<\/li>\n<li>You have mobile UI design experience<\/li>\n<li>You have basic understanding of data analysis in Excel<\/li>\n<li>You have unit test and debugging skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nice to have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have Bachelor\u2019s degree from a reputable university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical\/Electronic Engineering or any other related field<\/li>\n<li>You have understanding of code versioning tools (Git).<\/li>\n<li>You are fluent in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fitment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have a selfless desire to help<\/li>\n<li>You are driven to solve the problems of the farming community<\/li>\n<li>You can adapt to ever-changing processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manages a small team of developers to launch end-to-end products.<\/li>\n<li>Works closely with end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.<\/li>\n<li>Works on bug fixes and improving application performance.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies<\/li>\n<li>Plans, designs, develops, tests, and maintains enterprise-level desktop-, web- and mobilebased applications.<\/li>\n<li>Designs solutions attending to both business and technical considerations.<\/li>\n<li>Analyses user requirements, envisions system features and functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with product managers, team leads and other software developers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s on Offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A competitive salary and benefits is on offer which is negotiable.<\/li>\n<li>We will offer relocation assistance; happy to pay for a few extra bags on the plane.<\/li>\n<li>We are open to considering your buy-out; we know notice periods are long.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/1586972674\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Babban Gona Agricultural Franchise is a financially sustainable, high impact and highly scalable social enterprise, which is part-owned by the farmers it serves.
