It is led by top talented leaders offering a great mix of local and international talents and is backed by MTN, Millicom, Rocket Internet, Axa, Orange, Goldman Sachs &amp; CdC.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently looking for talented people with a passion for emerging markets and Africa to join our team and embark on our exciting journey in the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Corporate Affairs Manager \u2013 Jumia<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Company Leadership<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objective<\/strong><br \/>\nThe role holder is responsible for implementing the Jumia\u2019s Corporate Affairs and Communication strategy in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regulatory Compliance<\/li>\n<li>Government Relations<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder Engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree from any accredited university in the field of Media &amp; Communication, Political Science, Law or Business Administration.<\/li>\n<li>MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years managerial experience in Public Affairs or Corporate Affairs &amp; Communications, preferably in any regulated industry.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of current affairs<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) is required.<\/li>\n<li>High level of adaptability to diverse and fast changing environments.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in an environment of cultural diversity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translating strategic business objectives into consumer centric engagement tactics<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative and problem-solving ability to work with cross functional team.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.<\/li>\n<li>Cultural sensitivity and awareness<\/li>\n<li>High degree of tact and confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Strong reporting, analytical and negotiating skills.<\/li>\n<li>Communication: working directly, frequently, with numerous teams to execute these tactics successfully against business goals<\/li>\n<li>Strong management and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nRegulatory Compliance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highlight high level issues relating to Corporate Affairs are addressed in the right sequence and timely.<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategy for public private partnerships and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
