In Nigeria,\u00a0BIF is based\u00a0in Kano city, Kano State Nigeria and operates in many other states across the country. In collaboration with CBM, BIF is implementing an Inclusive Eye Health (IEH) project in Bauchi State, Hence we are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Capacity Building Consultant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Bauchi<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Fixed Term<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific\u00a0Objective<\/strong><br \/>\nTo improve the quality of life of persons with visual impairment and other disabilities through provision of comprehensive, inclusive, affordable and accessible Eye health services that\u00a0are integrated\u00a0into the health systems of\u00a0Bauchi States.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to improve the quality of life of persons with visual impairments and other disabilities through the provision of comprehensive, inclusive, affordable and accessible eye health services that\u00a0are integrated\u00a0into the Bauchi State Health system. These the project hopes to achieve through:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project\u00a0strategies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advocacy,\u00a0sensitization\u00a0and community mobilization<\/li>\n<li>Capacity building<\/li>\n<li>Service delivery<\/li>\n<li>Technical support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Consultancy Purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To develop a standard 3-day training curriculum to\u00a0be utilized\u00a0for the training of service providers from the PHC facilities and the secondary level service providers on inclusive eye health care service delivery derived from and based on national and international approved standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soft copy and a sample hard copy of 3\u00a0\u2013\u00a0day training curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accountability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate will be under the direct guidance of the project manager\u00a0who is\u00a0responsible for final approval of the training curriculum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Medical Degree from a recognized institution<\/li>\n<li>A professional post-graduate qualification in ophthalmology<\/li>\n<li>A proven record of capacity building for service providers<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop training tools and\u00a0guides.<\/li>\n<li>Possession of\u00a0an MPH\u00a0will\u00a0be an added\u00a0advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Policy Development Consultant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Bauchi<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Fixed term<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific\u00a0Objective<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To improve the quality of life of persons with visual impairment and other disabilities through provision of comprehensive, inclusive, affordable and accessible Eye health services that\u00a0are integrated\u00a0into the health systems of\u00a0Bauchi States.<\/li>\n<li>The project aims to improve the quality of life of persons with visual impairments and other disabilities through the provision of comprehensive, inclusive, affordable and accessible eye health services that\u00a0are integrated\u00a0into the Bauchi State Health system. process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Degree Public health or other related fields of study<\/li>\n<li>A post graduate qualification in policy (Azare and Bauchi) of Bauchi State<\/li>\n<li>The assessment will also provide evidence for the development of effective campaign strategies and identification of the best medium to reach target audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Soft copy and a sample hard copy of\u00a0KAPB\u00a0baseline assessment report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Degree in Social Sciences\/Humanities from a recognized institution<\/li>\n<li>A professional post-graduate qualification in social research will\u00a0be an added\u00a0advantage<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in qualitative research methodologies<\/li>\n<li>A proven record of similar research conducted.<\/li>\n<li>A proficient knowledge of\u00a0Hausa\u00a0language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BIF offers reasonable fees\u00a0which\u00a0will\u00a0be
