We are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Manager, Legal Services<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serves as a key point of legal advice on EMTS\u2019 litigation issues to ensure protection of EMTS\u2019 interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Principal Functions<\/strong><br \/>\nTactical:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advice EMTS on local and international legal matters including civil, criminal, contractual, telecom regulatory and labour laws that may affect EMTS activities or employees.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with relevant legislation\/regulations and give adequate legal advice\u00a0in order\u00a0to reduce EMTS risk liability.<\/li>\n<li>Advice EMTS on legal matters relating to property and site acquisitions.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the preparation of all leases, licenses and site related documents.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate\u00a0ownership of\u00a0the\u00a0all matters and advice EMTS on any legal peculiarities.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate\u00a0the impact of new laws regulations and legislations that may affect EMTS or\u00a0its\u2019\u00a0employees and activities and make recommendations to the Head, Legal Operations &amp; Litigation.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of global and local best practices as it relates to the department\u2019s activities.<\/li>\n<li>Continuously\u00a0assist in reviewing\u00a0the departments\/teams\u00a0activities and make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance of the team.<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Operational:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure effective case management strategy and adequate representation in litigation matters involving EMTS.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor\u00a0Litigation\u00a0(including any alternative dispute resolution mechanisms) by and against EMTS and manage EMTS\u2019 legal exposure in matters. Where external counsel\u00a0is required, assist the Head, Legal Operations and Litigation in acting as a liaison for external counsel\u2019s\u00a0contact<\/li>\n<li>Assist in implementing the units work programs and plans in line with agreed upon procedures and guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in planning and managing the human and material resources of the department\/team to optimize performance, morale and enhance productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Manage inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions<\/li>\n<li>Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinate performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives<\/li>\n<li>Prepare \/compile agreed periodic activities and performance reports for the attention of the Head, Legal Operations, Litigation, Commercial &amp; Corporate (Contracts &amp; Advisory)<\/li>\n<li>Oversee searches and due diligence on title verification, CAC searches, corporate searches\/enquiries\u00a0etc.<\/li>\n<li>Give qualitative legal advice on title verification\/due diligence and ensure proper documentation for property and site related acquisitions.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper documentation and compliance with lease terms in approving renewals.<\/li>\n<li>Draft Deeds, Lease Agreements,\u00a0Addendums\u00a0and other property and site\u00a0related documents as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure maintenance of database and adequate filing of all EMTS litigation matter, disputes and properties and other related legal documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure safe custody of all litigation and property related files and documents.<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Manager\/Head of litigation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Educational Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First degree in Law.<\/li>\n<li>MBA or relevant post graduate\/ professional qualification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience,Skills &amp; Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eight (8 ) \u2013 Ten (10) years\u2019 relevant work experience, with at least three (3) years in a Supervisory role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidate should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.9mobile.com.ng\/OA_HTML\/OA.jsp?page=\/oracle\/apps\/irc\/candidateSelfService\/webui\/VisVacDispPG&amp;OAHP=IRC_EXT_SITE_VISITOR_APPL&amp;OASF=IRC_VIS_VAC_DISPLAY&amp;akRegionApplicationId=821&amp;transactionid=141779995&amp;retainAM=N&amp;addBreadCrumb=RP&amp;p_svid=3465&amp;p_spid=63922&amp;oapc=9&amp;oas=w8xxhO6nGYKb6_rdVKkzkQ..\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>9mobile is a Nigerian private limited liability company.
