We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: External Financial Reporting Associate<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nFinancial reporting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ownership of the process underlying the production of the financial consolidation for the Group (annual statutory reporting and monthly investor reporting);<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of the financial consolidation for the Group for the purposes of the annual statutory accounts and support the consolidation accountant in the monthly consolidation;<\/li>\n<li>Support the Group CFO in Producing the Annual Review for the Group;<\/li>\n<li>Lead the audit of the consolidated results;<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with the Legal, Treasury and Tax teams on Group projects such as corporate restructurings and new internal and external reporting requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Ad-hoc financial reporting as required;<\/li>\n<li>Produce the Group year-end tax reconciliation, working alongside the tax team in subsidiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Finance system:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finance owner of the Group consolidation system;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Group consolidation system is kept up-to-date, properly maintained, and supports the consolidation requirements for the Group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Accounting policies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain and develop the Group accounting policies manual;<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and review new accounting standards and prepare proposal for revisions to accounting policies, as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Management responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct line-management responsibility for the provision of development opportunities for Finance Staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tax:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Group Tax consolidation<\/li>\n<li>Group Tax Planning<\/li>\n<li>Effective tax rate and forecast \/ deferred tax calculations for each reporting period<\/li>\n<li>Review all tax computations, liaising and acting as lead contact for tax advisers and the internal tax &#8216;expert&#8217; for the group.<\/li>\n<li>Contact point for central tax queries from affiliates, ensuring that appropriate support is provided.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for completion of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support.<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of the tax returns for the Company\u2019s international subsidiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for use and property tax functions.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for accounting for income taxes in Nigeria and International subsidiaries.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.<\/li>\n<li>Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Should possess a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Business or the Social Sciences. ACCA CPA certificate would be preferred<\/li>\n<li>Up to 8 years\u2019 experience, preferably in a similar role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in any of the big audit firms<\/li>\n<li>Corporate reporting; Internal &amp; External<\/li>\n<li>Multinational experience<\/li>\n<li>Worked with a UK Publicly Quoted Company in a similar function<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of LSE &amp; NSE reporting requirements and technicalities<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with LSE &amp; NSE working rules<\/li>\n<li>Should be highly knowledgeable of Accounting standards, IFRS, GAAPs etc<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of financial regulations in various markets<\/li>\n<li>Logical mindset, capable of evaluating and handling transactions with a high degree of complexity<\/li>\n<li>Should have significant experience with integrated financial systems and strong excel skills<\/li>\n<li>Analytical mindset<\/li>\n<li>Report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong bias for research<\/li>\n<li>French language skill is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in UK or the developed market is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/apply.workable.com\/armcareers\/j\/9E8C67CD20\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application\u00a0Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mixta Nigeria, a subsidiary of Mixta Africa, S.A. a company wholly owned by Asset &amp; Resource Management Holding Company Limited, is a leading real estate development company in Nigeria.
