We are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Head of Compliance<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will develop a comprehensive regulatory compliance framework and\u00a0be responsible for implementing\u00a0and maintaining processes, systems and controls to ensure\u00a0Paystack\u2019s compliance across multiple jurisdictions.<\/li>\n<li>The ideal candidate will come from \u201cstart-up\u201d like environments,\u00a0be mission-driven, a clear communicator with a solid background in the\u00a0payments\u00a0space.<\/li>\n<li>The role is remote-friendly with frequent travel to Lagos, Nigeria, required. You will\u00a0be reporting\u00a0directly to the CEO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll\u00a0be\u00a0Doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop, implement and maintain a global framework of policies and procedures for managing and mitigating operational and compliance risks, in line with laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement relevant compliance processes including know your customer (KYC), anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions and combatting the financing of terrorism (CFT)<\/li>\n<li>Perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope to our operations<\/li>\n<li>Master a deep understanding of the rules and regulations governing each market in which we operate, including monitoring any changes and developments<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the gathering of internal information to meet external regulatory reporting obligations<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the fulfillment of all\u00a0record keeping\u00a0requirements<\/li>\n<li>Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues<\/li>\n<li>Act as a point-of-contact for all employees on issues relating to money laundering, terrorist financing and receive reports on non-compliance with laws or company policies<\/li>\n<li>Compile regular reports on risk and compliance performance that can be shared with management or the board of directors so that issues can be rectified<\/li>\n<li>Support our product and market expansion initiatives by overseeing efforts to apply for new licenses where needed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular information dissemination and coordinate training across the company on compliance issues<\/li>\n<li>Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Oversee any internal and external audits or regulatory examinations<\/li>\n<li>Manage third party vendor risk reviews and vendor due diligence<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance across the company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nWhat it takes to succeed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8+ years in a senior regulatory and compliance role<\/li>\n<li>Experience in payments\/financial services<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop deep relationships with regulators (Central Banks or other regulatory bodies) across multiple jurisdictions<\/li>\n<li>Excellent sense of judgment &#8211; able to help steer the company to balance innovation and growth with regulatory compliance<\/li>\n<li>Critical problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to thrive, adapt and embrace change in rapidly-changing regulatory environments<\/li>\n<li>Deep knowledge of global payments compliance regulation &#8211; PCI DSS, PSD2, GDPR, card scheme rules etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>While this is not a requirement, it would be a plus if you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s Degree in either economics\/business\/law (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Relevant course, done through ICA (International Compliance Association)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Nigeria (or Africa)<\/li>\n<li>ACAMS certification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary<\/li>\n<li>Flexible working environment<\/li>\n<li>Housing\/car\u00a0assistance<\/li>\n<li>Full medical coverage<\/li>\n<li>Pension contributions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/boards.greenhouse.io\/paystack\/jobs\/4636672002?gh_src=61d670fa2\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paystack\u00a0is a technology company\u00a0solving payments\u00a0problems for ambitious businesses.\u00a0Paystack&#8217;s mission is to help merchants in Africa get paid by anyone, anywhere in the world.
