Within a few years, the hospital expanded its scope of practice into a full-fledged private multispecialty hospital. The core vision of the organisation is to provide world-class healthcare services to patients in Nigeria, West Africa, and globally.<\/p>\n<p>With hospitals located in both Abuja and Lagos, our services accommodate over one hundred (100) beds and provide services and facilities such as emergency \/ trauma center, a helipad, major radiology diagnostic center, a prosthetic manufacturing plant, an oxygen manufacturing plant, modular surgical operating theatres, cardiac catheterization unit and several other facilities that make for a modern multispecialty hospital. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Anaesthetic Technician II<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Anaesthetic Technician II is responsible for preparing, calibrating, and cleaning anaesthesia equipment.<\/li>\n<li>The technician will perform aseptic techniques according to established standards of care and infection control.<\/li>\n<li>They are in charge of making sure all equipment is safe to use on patients and free of any unhealthy bacteria.<\/li>\n<li>The Anesthetic Technician supports other members of the anesthesia care team. They may be called upon to transport a patient to the operating room.<\/li>\n<li>Their primary responsibilities will be in setting-up and preparing equipment and medications per the direction of the Anesthesiologist.<\/li>\n<li>The Anaesthetic Technician II will also be responsible for assisting in special procedures and provide support for complex surgical cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides anaesthesia technician services to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed anaesthesia care provider designated by the client facility, in accordance with state regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Cleans, sterilizes, disinfects, orders\/stocks and maintains routine anaesthesia equipment and supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain anaesthesia medications, supplies and equipment according to needs and schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Cleans, organizes and maintains anaesthesia workroom, supplies and equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anaesthesia delivery systems pre, intra and post anaesthesia and with consideration and knowledge of age-specific issues related to meeting the needs of the various patient groups.<\/li>\n<li>Perform basic trouble shooting for monitors and equipment and reports defective equipment and equipment malfunctions appropriately\/immediately.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control standards.<\/li>\n<li>Documents and maintains preventative maintenance and quality records.<\/li>\n<li>Assists with transport of patients and laboratory specimens as necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Performs all job duties of an Anaesthesia Technician I.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anaesthetic Technician Diploma<\/li>\n<li>Certification \u2013 Anaesthetic Technician Certificate<\/li>\n<li>NYSC Certificate or Exemption Letter<\/li>\n<li>Proficient with Healthcare Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills<\/li>\n<li>Highly motivated team player willing to go the extra mile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Application Letter and CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@cedarcresthospitals.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>careers@cedarcresthospitals.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0clearly indicating the &#8220;Job Title&#8221; as subject of your mail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>10th February, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cedarcrest Hospitals Limited was founded in Abuja in January 2008 and was formerly known as Cedarcrest Orthopaedic Clinics.
