We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Associate &#8211; Capital Markets and Accounting Consulting Services<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Reference Number:<\/strong> 125-NIG00239<br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Assurance<br \/>\n<strong>Job type<\/strong>: Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Job Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A career within Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be responsible for complex financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational events.<\/li>\n<li>You will tackle clients&#8217; needs with a solution-oriented approach that creatively addresses complex financial reporting problems for high profile transactions and you\u2019ll have significant interaction with senior company management teams, bankers, lawyers and other advisers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide IFRS technical accounting and business advice to a variety of clients.<\/li>\n<li>Perform IFRS compliance review of financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in capital market transactions such as reporting accountant engagements, IPO readiness assessments, business acquisitions accounting and advisory, group re-organisation and restructuring advisory, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with creating content for IFRS newsletters.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) financial statements for companies operating in different industries.<\/li>\n<li>Lead engagement teams on financial reporting projects.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of specialist support on technical IFRS areas including financial instruments, business combination, consolidation etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provision of accounting advice to various clients on impact assessment of the adoption of new IFRSs<\/li>\n<li>Act as an audit support consultant on financial reporting issues to audit teams on engagements spanning across various industries.<\/li>\n<li>Conversion of financial statements from previous GAAP to IFRS.<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established clients.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise teams and reports directly to senior staff.<\/li>\n<li>Work and collaborate with colleagues across different lines of service on projects.<\/li>\n<li>Coach and train less experienced staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good university degree<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge and understanding of IFRS (minimum of 3 -5 years working experience with IFRS would be an advantage)<\/li>\n<li>ACCA\/ACA qualification (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Focused and initiative driven (required to maximise growth potential)<\/li>\n<li>A passion for delivering exceptional client service<\/li>\n<li>Good analytical and organisational abilities<\/li>\n<li>A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills when working at all levels<\/li>\n<li>A demonstrated ability to take responsibility, work autonomously and use initiative, especially when working to tight deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Strong team-working<\/li>\n<li>Desire for continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Good listening skill<\/li>\n<li>A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pwc_africa.recruitmentplatform.com\/nigeria-careers-site\/UK\/details.html?nPostingID=4204&amp;nPostingTargetID=65967&amp;option=52&amp;sort=DESC&amp;respnr=1&amp;ID=PRSFK026203F3VBQB796GLOPS&amp;Resultsperpage=10&amp;lg=UK&amp;mask=nigeriacareerssite\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>19th March, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) Nigeria has been operating in Nigeria since 1953 through its predecessor firms of Coopers &amp; Lybrand and Price Waterhouse.
