We are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Fund Reporting Analyst &#8211; SIAML<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Lagos (Lagos Island)<br \/>\n<strong>Job ID:<\/strong> 47054<br \/>\n<strong>Job Sector:<\/strong> Banking<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asset Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The main purpose of the Fund Reporting Analyst is to execute the day to day accounting functions of the managed funds of SIAML. These functions include keeping proper accounting records, reconciliations, valuations and generating fund prices, rendering returns to regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n<li>The Analyst, Fund Reporting is also expected\u00a0carry out the financial reporting and financial accounting functions of SIAML managed funds\u00a0thereby\u00a0ensuring that reports generated are\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0local and international accounting and regulatory guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>A successful execution of the job steers the generation of valuation for the mutual funds, provision of reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission\u00a0as well as\u00a0preparation of the financials for the mutual funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key\u00a0Responsibilities \/ Accountabilities<\/strong><br \/>\nGenerate\u00a0valuation\u00a0for the respective mutual funds being managed by Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited (\u2018SIAML\u201d):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Postings of journals and settlement transactions<\/li>\n<li>Generation of valuation reports of the respective managed funds<\/li>\n<li>Distribution of the valuation reports to stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Saving\u00a0of\u00a0valuation reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maintaining the General Ledger for the Mutual\u00a0Funds:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Daily posting of entries into the General Ledger of the Mutual Funds<\/li>\n<li>Daily reconciliation of the\u00a0Valuation\u00a0reports against the\u00a0General\u00a0ledger<\/li>\n<li>Daily sign-off of such reconciliation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Timeliness in preparation of the audit schedules and the audited financials for the respective funds:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execution of relevant and applicable financial reporting standards and assessment of their impact on current processes and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Providing support towards planning and coordination of audit engagements for the respective managed funds and portfolios<\/li>\n<li>Execution of the applicable financial reporting standards<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of the audit schedules and financial statements<\/li>\n<li>Engage\u00a0the\u00a0external auditors and\u00a0participate\u00a0in the timely completion of\u00a0the\u00a0statutory audits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Proactive in dealing with technical issues arising from changes in reporting framework and standards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contributing to the activities and development of the Fund Reporting team<\/li>\n<li>Escalate all issues and challenges affecting the team and the output they produce to the Head, Fund Reporting and engage the Technology team to resolve\u00a0them<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical and financial advice to other units and\u00a0departments\u00a0thereby\u00a0assessing the impact of current processes and reporting activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation of returns to the Securities and Exchange Commission (monthly,\u00a0quarterly\u00a0and\u00a0half\u00a0yearly)<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to compliance with all the local statutory and regulatory\u00a0filings, financial and management reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all matters relating to financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, balance sheet and capital structure management, market risk analysis and management and regulatory reporting\u00a0are executed\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0Generally\u00a0Accepted Accounting Principles, the Group\u2019s accounting policies and other regulatory guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualification and Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nQualification and\u00a0Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor of Science or equivalent Honours degree in Economics; Accounting, Finance; Actuarial Science, Statistics, Banking &amp; Finance or any related field.<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years experience in Financial Reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge \/ Technical Skills \/ Expertise<\/strong><br \/>\nTechnical Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial and Accounting Control<\/li>\n<li>Financial System Administration<\/li>\n<li>Asset Management<\/li>\n<li>Interpreting Financial Statements<\/li>\n<li>Preparing Financial Statements<\/li>\n<li>Financial Accounting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.peopleclick.eu.com\/careerscp\/client_standardbankgroup\/external\/en_US\/jobDetails.do?functionName=getJobDetail&amp;jobPostId=78139&amp;localeCode=en-us\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Stanbic IBTC Bank is a leading African banking group focused on emerging markets globally.
