We are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Software Engineer in Test<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In this role, you will work as a Software Engineer in Test within the Technology organization, building\u00a0world-class internal and customer-facing products to support Andela\u2019s business needs.<\/li>\n<li>Our\u00a0Andelan\u00a0Engineers are renowned for their technical prowess. They\u00a0are admired\u00a0and respected for the depth of their technical expertise and leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Our\u00a0Andelan\u00a0Engineers epitomize ownership. They take personal responsibility for Andela\u2019s ability to continue to deliver value and building products\u00a0that are\u00a0key to helping Andela grow and scale as an organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specifically, you\u2019ll:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use your knowledge in your core technology to delight our partners around the world.<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for designing\u00a0and implementing QA processes, develop test data and use it to perform testing tasks and prepare relevant test result reports.<\/li>\n<li>Proactively communicating and prioritizing effectively on tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Act as role-model even in the most difficult and challenging situations, using constructive feedback, mentorship, and universal respect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All Andela engineers go above and beyond. To find out more about additionally suggested competencies, check out our engineer framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience, during which you\u2019ve built technical knowledge on QA techniques and processes, and exercised ownership on various technical teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intermediate in at least one core language and one or more relevant frameworks as well as Beginner level understanding in an adjacent language<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working with at least one cloud data storage solution.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with at least one global cloud provider.<\/li>\n<li>Able to run a root-cause analysis, report relevant information, and suggest remediation.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates a desire to problem-solve independently first, before seeking assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with the core concepts of CI\/CD pipelines and able to progress code as required.<\/li>\n<li>Able to contribute to documentation, as needed, as part of code, code-delivery, onboarding, or any requested documentation maintained by the team.<\/li>\n<li>Understands testing tools and frameworks required to support the engineer\u2019s core language \/ framework.<\/li>\n<li>Able to identify areas that can be automated in daily tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Takes ownership over his \/ her own work and also shows responsibility for the output of the team<\/li>\n<li>Completes tasks independently, with little to no feedback.<\/li>\n<li>Continuously self-reflective to look for areas of improvement and seek help when needed.<\/li>\n<li>Expert in planning and estimating, sets and meets expectations for on-time delivery, and takes complexity and scale into account when sizing larger bodies of work.<\/li>\n<li>Able to accurately select the right means of communication for the need, based on impacting variables, such as immediacy and complexity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with the following specific tools:<\/li>\n<li>Testing tools: Selenium, Jest, Mocha, TestCafe, Chai<\/li>\n<li>Google Cloud Platform<\/li>\n<li>GraphQL based web services<\/li>\n<li>NestJS application framework<\/li>\n<li>TypeORM and Postgres<\/li>\n<li>Modern Angular application development<\/li>\n<li>Typescript<\/li>\n<li>Containerization tools: Docker, Kubernetes<\/li>\n<li>Cloud based CI \/ CD tools: CircleCI, CodeClimate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Get<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time compensation<\/li>\n<li>Full medical coverage<\/li>\n<li>Lunch and snacks provided daily<\/li>\n<li>Beautiful working environment<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to work with the brightest minds inside and outside of your field<\/li>\n<li>A chance to change the world for the better<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/boards.greenhouse.io\/andela\/jobs\/2097167?utm_source=jobboards&amp;utm_medium=HotNigerianJob\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Andela is a network of technology leaders dedicated to advancing human potential.
