We are\u00a0recruiting\u00a0to fill the position\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Support Technician<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Victoria Island, Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To support and maintain internal IT architecture.\u00a0 This position is also responsible for administering desktops support\u00a0as well as\u00a0all company servers, printers, phones, and other peripherals.<\/li>\n<li>To support and maintain internal IT architecture.\u00a0 This position is also responsible for administering desktops support\u00a0as well as\u00a0all company servers, printers, phones, and other peripherals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Configure, test, and maintain LAN\/WAN equipment and related services.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolves network problems.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to network\u2013related issues as escalated.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in network project design and implementations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and support company\u2019s LAN\/WAN environment.<\/li>\n<li>Daily maintenance and problem resolution.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and troubleshoot Apple servers (Open Directory) for a middle-sized environment (less than 200 computers).<\/li>\n<li>Set-up of computer for staff.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot application and hardware issues on both user and server levels.<\/li>\n<li>Aid in maintaining that all servers\/computers\/peripherals are in good working condition<\/li>\n<li>Perform servers and other computer asset maintenance (regular and ad-hocs)<\/li>\n<li>Maintain hardware and software updated inventory<\/li>\n<li>Resolve all application (emails, applications, etc.) related issues<\/li>\n<li>Participate in designing and implementation of various systems\/application projects as requested by the client.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nTo get this role you must possess the following;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer science\/engineering or related fields.<\/li>\n<li>2 &#8211; 5 years of experience in providing IT support.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft, Linux and Cisco technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Professional certifications in IT.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize workload.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well in a team.<\/li>\n<li>Detail-oriented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Technical Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of wires and wireless basic networking<\/li>\n<li>Ability to use an Apple Macintosh system<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage and support 1st and 2nd level issues on an Apple Macintosh system &amp; Microsoft Windows System<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of Directory Services on both Windows (Active Directory) and Macintosh (Open Directory)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of hardware configuration of both Apple and Windows devices is highly desirable.<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate understanding of DNS, DHCP, Filesharing (with or without SAMBA)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to support basic applications like MS Office and others<\/li>\n<li>Advance knowledge in routing (EIGRP\/OSPF) and switching (VLAN\u2019s, STP, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge in SNMP and other network management protocols\/systems<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge in QoS principles and use of different QoS appliances<\/li>\n<li>Able to identify network issues, propose and implement actions to resolve the problem.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced and knowledgeable on different wireless technologies (802.11 a\/b\/g\/n\/ac) design, implementation, optimization and troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/netcomafrica.odoo.com\/jobs\/detail\/it-support-technician-176\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netcom\u00a0has been Nigeria\u2019s leading Internet Service Provider since 2004, staying ahead of the competition with\u00a0cutting edge\u00a0platforms in VSAT, WIMAX, Radio, and Fiber technology.
