The\u00a0International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Nigeria<\/strong> is an impartial, neutral and Independent humanitarian organisation.\u00a0The ICRC Delegation in Port Harcourt is looking for a qualified candidate with the capacity to work independently to fill in the following interesting position:<\/p>\n

Job Title: Logistics Officer<\/h3>\n

Main Responsibilities<\/strong>
\nHandles logistics files independently (order management, import documents, shipments, transport and warehousing) with a special overview on medical issues
\nNegotiates contractual matters with external interlocutors (shipment companies, clearing agents, airport and other relevant contacts)
\nDoes local purchasing ensuring that it\u2019s carried out in accordance with ICRC standards, is auditable, fully transparent and into the satisfaction of the \u201cclient\u201d departments
\nMonitors the warehouse in Port Harcourt including monthly stock inventory for all assistance items including medical (drugs and vaccines) in accordance with ICRC guidelines
\nManages and monitors the statistics on a monthly base inclusive reconciliation of statistic reports from the field and possibly also Donor reporting<\/p>\n

Job Required Qualifications<\/strong>
\nUniversity degree in logistics or administration, or professional school with similar technical degree
\nMinimum 5 years work experience in logistics with international company\/organisation or embassy
\nProven experience in medical logistics would be an asset
\nGood command of written and spoken English
\nExcellent computer skills
\nCapacity to carry out complex activities
\nGood communication and negotiation skills
\nAbility to work independently and with a sense of initiative
\nMethodical person with common sense and rigour (good diagnosis and planning capacity)
\nStrong sense of responsibility and adaptability, able to work over time when needed
\nValid driving license
\n
\nStarting date: <\/strong>Ideally, as soon as possible<\/p>\n
