to engage a legal professional individual for the position\u00a0below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Senior Associate &#8211; Commercial Litigation &amp; Insolvency<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate\u00a0is responsible for developing\u00a0and executing a Strategic Plan for the Corporate Litigation &amp; Insolvency team aimed at identifying new business opportunities and sustaining long- term profitable relationships with existing clients<\/li>\n<li>Understand the client\u2019s business and maintain continuous engagement with key executive stakeholders within target client organizations.<\/li>\n<li>Advising in relation to and representing clients in commercial litigation &amp; insolvency matters<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate contracts, ensure financial success and monitor quality of service delivery on all client cases and transactions.<\/li>\n<li>Leading and proactive participation in\u00a0individual,\u00a0team and office-based business development initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and actively lead all business development efforts and initiatives towards the growth of the department.<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal advice on transactions<\/li>\n<li>Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients<\/li>\n<li>Draft and review Legal documents and Agreements<\/li>\n<li>Represent Client in courts (within &amp; outside Lagos)<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of regulations, legislations, government policies and other developments that may affect the operations, business goals and objectives of the firm<\/li>\n<li>Be required\u00a0to stay updated with information related to the laws and legal processes<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring files are managed\u00a0in compliance with the Firms\u2019 procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to\u00a0provide,\u00a0sound quality technical advice and guidance to clients at short notice when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Engage in industry networking events to further develop market knowledge and business relationship\u00a0o\u00a0Ensure\u00a0department and firm wide performance goals are met\u00a0o\u00a0Assisting junior members of the team in a supervisory capacity on more complex cases<\/li>\n<li>Work in concert with the Managing Partner and Management Team to achieve Unit objectives and deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Report directly to the Managing Partner and perform all other duties as shall be advised by same.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LL.B\/B.L (LLM is an advantage).<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 8 years\u2019 post qualification active experience in commercial litigation &amp; insolvency.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth industry knowledge in Legal &amp; Business Advisory, Regulatory &amp; Compliance, and general commercial litigation experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong client focus and Good eye for detail<\/li>\n<li>Be a self-starter with a \u2018can do\u2019 attitude<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle competing deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Must possess excellent legal drafting and document review skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and observation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and decision-making skills<\/li>\n<li>Must have the ability to undertake in-depth legal research on all legal issue<\/li>\n<li>Excellent negotiation, team building and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication (both written and oral),
