Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vodstra\u00a0Limited &#8211; Our client requires the services of a competent professional to drive her financial operations in\u00a0 the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos, Nigeria<\/p>\n<p><strong>Core Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports\u00a0that are\u00a0appropriate for the users and\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0generally\u00a0accepted accounting principles<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board&#8217;s Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash<\/li>\n<li>Reconcile bank and investment accounts<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly results and implement\u00a0monthly\u00a0variance reporting<\/li>\n<li>Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0policy<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation<\/li>\n<li>Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets\u00a0are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Executive Director and the Board Treasurer with financial reporting as required at Board meeting and the Annual General Meetings<\/li>\n<li>Payroll preparation and administration<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees\u00a0are paid\u00a0in a timely and accurate manner<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate and manage the employee insurance and benefits plans<\/li>\n<li>Process and submit statutory and benefits remittances on time<\/li>\n<li>Issue annual T4s and T4As<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Budget preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish guidelines for budget\u00a0and\u00a0forecast\u00a0preparation,\u00a0and prepare the annual budget in consultation with the\u00a0appropriate\u00a0persons<\/li>\n<li>Assist Project Manager with\u00a0the preparation of\u00a0budgets for funding applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project management accounting:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that\u00a0accurate and timely financial statements are prepared\u00a0in accordance with\u00a0contract agreements<\/li>\n<li>Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Risk management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized<\/li>\n<li>Advise the organization&#8217;s leadership on\u00a0appropriate\u00a0insurance coverage for the organization and the Board of Directors<\/li>\n<li>Maximize income where possible and appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with Bank for lines of credit or other financial services as required and appropriate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A B.Sc \/ HND in Accounting from a recognized Tertiary Institution<\/li>\n<li>Must have at least 10 years post qualification experience in\u00a0Managing\u00a0warehouse with 6years in Senior management position<\/li>\n<li>Must be a member of a recognized professional body.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@vodstra.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>info@vodstra.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with the Job Title as the mail subject<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>12th March 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vodstra\u00a0Limited &#8211;
