{"id":84872,"date":"2020-03-26T12:47:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T11:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=84872"},"modified":"2020-03-26T12:47:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-26T11:47:37","slug":"venture-garden-nigeria-vgn-current-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/venture-garden-nigeria-vgn-current-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"Venture Garden Nigeria (VGN) Current Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Venture Garden Nigeria (VGN) is a fast-growing B2B\/B2G Fintech Platform Holdco Company with six subsidiaries, two platform entities and a suite of shared services offered to all subsidiaries.<\/p>\n<p>At VGN we wage war against the average, go beyond the ordinary to explore limitless opportunities; breaking the norms and aggressively pursuing success through- Relentless Hard-work, Pursuit of excellence, calculated risk-taking and a hunger for knowledge and we have a lot of fun at it! diWe are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Controller<br \/>\nLocation:<\/strong>\u00a0Ikeja, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Job Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Remuneration:\u00a0<\/strong>Competitive based on experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all monthly, mid-year and annual reports are prepared and presented to CEO and CFO as at when due<\/li>\n<li>Manage all bank relationships and ensure that all point&#8217;s relationships are healthy and well-groomed.<\/li>\n<li>Work with group CFO and CEO in preparing the group\u2019s financial goals, group budget, and forecasts<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the project finance team in preparation of project budget, project funds allocations, expenses, and entity cash flow statements; procurement processes<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the accounting team in ensuring all expected reports are submitted as when due and that all payments are made swiftly, and appropriate vendors managed<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all purchasing\/refunds\/Out of station allowances and payroll activity for staff.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the Group and all its Entities<\/li>\n<li>Monitor banking activities\/reconciliation for the group and all its Entities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the Groups and its Entities\u2019 needs<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the design, implementation, and timely calculations of wage incentives, commissions, and salaries for the staff.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the company complies with all Federal laws on Tax and Audit processes and policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finance and accounting background.<\/li>\n<li>Work Experience with a tech company, multinational or Big 4\/5 is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or business-related field is required.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a chartered accountant with an ACCA or ICAN.<\/li>\n<li>Skill set Required: Must have worked with an ERP System, finance, accounting, financial planning, IFRS, Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Chart of Accounts Redesign, GL Coding, Intercompany Reconciliation, GL Accounting, financial analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working conditions<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility is important.<\/li>\n<li>Equal opportunity<\/li>\n<li>The role is open to anyone who meets the above criteria regardless of race or nationality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.smartrecruiters.com\/VentureGardenGroup1\/743999710159170-financial-controller\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Venture Garden Nigeria (VGN) is a fast-growing B2B\/B2G Fintech Platform Holdco Company with six subsidiaries, two platform entities and a suite of shared services offered to all subsidiaries.
