Job Title: Africa Investment Advisor – Anglophone West / Central Africa

Location: Lagos

Job Type: Contract

Description

ProSidian is seeking an Africa Investment Advisor – Anglophone West/Central Africa to lead The United States International Development Finance Corporation(“DFC”) engagement in Anglophone West/Central Africa Geographic Coverage Area (GCA). DFC’s goal is to increase private capital investment in sub-Saharan Africa as a foreign policy and development priority. There is growing recognition the U.S. needs to effectively deploy and coordinate its economic tools to help develop, facilitate, expedite, and mitigate the risk of commercial transactions between the United States and Africa.

The recently enacted Better Utilization of Investments Leading to Development Act (BUILD Act) expanded tools and increased authorities that allow the DFC to support a greater number of commercial transactions, including project finance, insurance and, private equity fund investments. DFC requires sufficient human resources in sub-Saharan Africa to establish a strong business development presence on the ground in priority locations and working closely with other U.S. government agencies to ensure responsiveness to private sector needs.

This is a contract contingent position based in Lagos, Nigeria; overseeing a Geographic Coverage Area (GCA) including, but not limited to: Nigeria and Ghana. Additional places of performance within this GCA may be required. This may include but not be limited to Accra, Ghana.
