We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Home Caregiver<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Status:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> HEC Superviser<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PCA Home &amp; Elder Care is looking for compassionate and nurturing caregivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults and homebound individuals throughout our community.<\/li>\n<li>PCA Homecare &amp; Elder Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow clients to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Job requirements include:<\/strong><br \/>\nPatient Care:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide care in shifts at either day or evening to homebound patients according to the requirements set by the patient and\/or his\/her family.<\/li>\n<li>Companionship and conversation<\/li>\n<li>Medication and appointment reminders as well as administration.<\/li>\n<li>Assistance with personal care and hygiene, including grooming and bathing<\/li>\n<li>Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues<\/li>\n<li>Help clients take prescribed medication<\/li>\n<li>Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor\u2019s appointments, walks etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Help clients with physical therapy exercises.<\/li>\n<li>Additional Care (depending on patient needs)<\/li>\n<li>Meal assistance from the clients (when they are able)<\/li>\n<li>Do the client\u2019s shopping or accompany them when they shop<\/li>\n<li>Accompany client to social events and gatherings.<\/li>\n<li>Administration and Communication<\/li>\n<li>Document and effectively communicate activities during visit and general wellbeing of client.<\/li>\n<li>Clock In after punctual arrival at clients home and clock out at allocated time.<\/li>\n<li>Report any unusual incidents and provide feedback to physician, family and office.<\/li>\n<li>Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency, so that all possible, new or enhanced opportunities are exploited.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HND or equivalent level of education.<\/li>\n<li>If no educational background in healthcare previous exposure to the sector and a keen Interest In the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competency and Skills Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Critical Characteristics<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience as a caregiver<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of housekeeping activities with attention to dietary constraints<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Respectful and compassionate<\/li>\n<li>Good time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong ethics<\/li>\n<li>Physical endurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:care@physiocentersofafrica.com\" target=\"_blank\">care@physiocentersofafrica.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0using the &#8220;Job title&#8221; as subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>9th April, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Physio Centers of Africa &#8211; We are an innovative healthcare business seeking to propel physiotherapy and elder care to world class levels in Africa.
