We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Internal Audit and Control Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The candidate will assist the Head of Internal Audit \/ Control in planning, executing and reporting on all audits \/ reviews involving the various departments, strategic business units and entities within the Group.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate will act as a support to the steward of all audit strategies, structures and processes within the Group.<\/li>\n<li>The role will formulate and execute company control processes, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly accounts reconciliations by identifying and reconciling differences, escalating issues, and communicating results to executive management and colleagues.<\/li>\n<li>The role will provide reasonable assurance to Executive Management and the Board of Directors that audit, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organization\u2019s objectives and goals to be met.<\/li>\n<li>The role reports directly to the Head of Internal Audit \/ Control and must provide heads up about important issues and operational violations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Budget &amp; Budgetary control<\/li>\n<li>Daily call-over reviews and accounts reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Revenue and cost assurance<\/li>\n<li>Special investigations and audit reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determine internal audit scope and develop annual internal audit plans<\/li>\n<li>Perform and control the full audit cycle<\/li>\n<li>Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and present reports that reflect audit\u2019s results and document process<\/li>\n<li>Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement<\/li>\n<li>Plan financial, regulatory, operational and other reviews\/audits<\/li>\n<li>Conduct special audits as required by management and issue results<\/li>\n<li>Conduct follow up audits to monitor management\u2019s interventions<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and manage the internal audit budget<\/li>\n<li>Review audit work performed by staff for completion and accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Recommend revisions and\/or additions to policies and procedures in order to improve operations as well as internal controls.<\/li>\n<li>Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector\u2019s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks<\/li>\n<li>Analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of control environment and identify loopholes\/control gaps as well as recommend risk aversion measures and opportunities for improvement<\/li>\n<li>Document the results of audit work in accordance with audit department and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards<\/li>\n<li>Maintain open communication with management and audit committee<\/li>\n<li>Document process and prepare audit findings report for executive management, the audit committee and the Board<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices<\/li>\n<li>Contributes, as appropriate, in the year-end financial audit with the external auditor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate Degree in Accounting \/ Finance or a related field.
