We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Logistics Technical Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong> Webcruiter ID:<\/strong> 4226364599<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0 Logistics Officer<br \/>\n<strong>Full Time \/ Part-time:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NRC is looking for a Logistics Technical Assistant for our field office in Abuja, FCT in Northern Nigeria. The position of Logistics Assistant will be based in Abuja.<\/li>\n<li>H\/She will be responsible for specific tasks related to Procurement, store management, vehicle and generator management and assets at the Abuja Office.<\/li>\n<li>NRC initiated country operations in Nigeria in June 2015, in order to respond to the critical and increasing needs in the country. NRC currently has a full team based in Maiduguri and a coordination office in Abuja.<\/li>\n<li>NRC is currently providing services across various sectors namely; Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFI); Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH); Food Security; Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Education and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) order to address identified humanitarian needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that vehicles are used and maintained according to Logistics Handbook and other NRC policies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all drivers adhere to NRC logistics and drivers procedures<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all stock at the Abuja Office ensuring that proper documentation is maintained for the same.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that assets are tagged before being dispatched to the field.<\/li>\n<li>To also ensure asset movement is tracked in the Asset Register<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Logistics Officer with Procurement \u2013 collecting quotes, generating procurement documents as may be required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all vehicle records and reports including logbooks, accident reports, etc are filled appropriately.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a log of the generators and ensure that fuel consumption is monitored and recorded appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Compile and submit monthly vehicle utilization and carpool reports<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the NRC fleet is utilized and optimized accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare requisitions for spare parts for vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and facilitate timely reporting of eventualities like accidents and breakdowns<\/li>\n<li>Secure that NRC vehicles are equipped with necessary documents and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all drivers fill movement logbooks and that logbook is signed by the passengers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in a related field<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the local market<\/li>\n<li>Documented results related to the position\u2019s responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>High-level competency in computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)<\/li>\n<li>Previous (1yr) experience working in a Logistics department (preferably NGO)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge about own leadership skills\/profile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Qualities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handling an insecure environment<\/li>\n<li>Planning and delivering results<\/li>\n<li>A good sense of humour is an asset<\/li>\n<li>All employees of the Norwegian Refugee Council should be able to adhere to our Code of Conduct and the four organizational values: Dedicated, innovative, inclusive and accountable.<\/li>\n<li>Empowering and building trust<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with impact and respect<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We can offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commencement: May\u00a0 2020<\/li>\n<li>Duration: 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Salary\/benefits: According to NRC\u2019s general directions.
