We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Executive Secretary<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full Time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Executive Secretary will run the Network\u2019s secretariat, reporting to the President and the Board of Directors.<\/li>\n<li>The individual will be responsible for developing strategy, initiatives and programs required to achieve the overall objectives of the network.<\/li>\n<li>This individual will be expected to represent the network when required, maintain a directory of members and support the needs of the members and direct the secretariat team to support the needs of the member\u2019s network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Deliverables:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a strategic plan for Women in Energy Network that will position WIEN as the leading women\u2019s network in the energy industry<\/li>\n<li>Implement and manage program and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and Manage WIEN partner and affiliates framework and ensure partner relationships are managed to fulfil the advancement of WIEN<\/li>\n<li>To develop in-depth knowledge of WIEN program areas, including current issues and key resource people and organizations, and a clear understanding of how they fit into the network\u2019s interest<\/li>\n<li>Establish and strengthen communication\/good relations with appropriate external organizations and other stakeholders for seeking corporate sponsors<\/li>\n<li>Identify and develop relations with other stakeholders of the Energy value chain, Networks, donors, by organizing events, programs, and meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Develop budget for WIEN programs and initiatives ensure appropriate lead signs off and goes to the Treasurer<\/li>\n<li>Identify and collaborates with credible domestic and international organizations to deliver programs and initiatives which will enhance members goals in line with WIENs objective<\/li>\n<li>Develop PR, internal and external communication strategies and social media content and e-strategy focused effectively to grow followership and interaction while also managing the daily content upload and online content<\/li>\n<li>Develop proposals and secure funding for programs and events working with the Director of sponsorships<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate a culture that inspire and motivate WIEN employees<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and work with implementing partners\/agencies in project design, proposal development, contractual agreements; and the provision of monitoring, and project evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide progress reports (Monthly Key Performance Indicator- KPI) on the overall effectiveness of WIEN and its programs and initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Develop evaluation methods to assess programs strengths and identify areas for improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Plan and schedule project timelines, track project deliverables using appropriate tools.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a database of members to cater to peculiar needs and support requirements to progress their goals and aspirations in line with the Networks objective<\/li>\n<li>Conduct period surveys and publish results on the effectiveness of WIEN programs and initiatives and use them to determine members needs and process improvement<\/li>\n<li>Prepare presentation documents and other related documents for all WIEN Board Courtesy visits or programs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A University Business degree, preferably a PHD, master\u2019s degree or an MBA<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of the energy industry value chain<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of international development issues, including social and economic development<\/li>\n<li>A track record of negotiating, influencing and persuading others at a senior level both internally and externally<\/li>\n<li>A record of achievement in securing funding from external sources including funding agencies and the private sector<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication at all levels often covering complex and wide-ranging subjects<\/li>\n<li>Experience in developing and implementing innovative measures.<\/li>\n<li>Solid track record of strong leadership, building and motivating effective and productive teams in an organization of comparable size<\/li>\n<li>Strong administrative and financial skills demonstrated in a senior strategic role<\/li>\n<li>Establishing, managing and developing collaborative working relationships with a range of internal and external bodies<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of international communications issues, policy and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to establish credibility quickly, particularly in new areas of influence<\/li>\n<li>A consultative and facilitative style with the ability to influence others where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think clearly and analytically, grasp complex issues and develop sound judgments in a sensitive environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong influencing and negotiating skills at the most senior levels to lead, develop and participate in partnerships and strategic alliances<\/li>\n<li>Robust and comfortable with operating in a challenging environment<\/li>\n<li>Committed to the efficient and effective management of financial resources and staff.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide direction and leadership in a way that inspires confidence and commitment and encourages ideas, innovation and initiative from others<\/li>\n<li>Ability to demonstrate authority, commitment, consistency and fairness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Key
