We are recruiting to fill the position of:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Product Development \/ QC Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Locations:<\/strong> Lagos, Oyo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Product Development\/QC Manager will be responsible for leading efforts involved in new product\/process development and improvements; coupled as well as Quality Control support responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Product Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leads the technical aspects of product development through the investigation, planning, execution, evaluating and reporting on new product \/ process development and improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Interface with NAFDAC and all related regulatory bodies, as it relates to new product development and factory regulations compliance; while ensuring stringent hygienic standards are met around new product lines<\/li>\n<li>Stays apprised of new technologies, trends and processes in the food manufacturing industry, and advices as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Develops understanding of all processes new to the organization; evaluates whether portions of such processes are applicable to other products.<\/li>\n<li>Document and report on new product test runs\/trials and results. Identify any potential issues or improvements to the process or formulations and discuss with management team.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains an accurate documentation of workflow and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Independently initiates, investigates, and implements significant new formulations, recipes, process improvements, existing product improvement and cost savings projects.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluates and makes recommendations concerning the application of new recipe and processing technologies.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare new product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.<\/li>\n<li>This position initiates, evaluates, plans, directs, executes, implements, and reports on activities related to the development of new products, improvements or cost savings ideas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Quality Control:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all Quality Operations SOPs are strictly adhered to; and review the SOPs as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Collaboration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acts as a technical consultant to all Food Manufacturing units of FoodCo on product formulation\/processing and quality assurance issues related to assigned products.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively and develop strong relationships with cross functional teams including; Operations, and Procurement to solve key business issues and drive profitable growth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Talent Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage performance of reports and ensure that relevant training and development interventions are implemented to sustain performance.<\/li>\n<li>Train team members\/stakeholders and grow their capabilities on the products developed as needed for scaling up production and quality assurance lines.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor and coach reports to ensure performance in the team is sustained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science Technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 related working experience, across reputable food manufacturing organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Proven record and success in developing new products.<\/li>\n<li>Deep understanding of the Food Manufacturing market in Nigeria, and related consumer products.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge across different aspects of Food Manufacturing such as confectioneries, ice creams, pastry, bakery, etc<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of related food manufacturing regulatory standards.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial awareness and market orientation<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and creative acumen.<\/li>\n<li>Strong emotional intelligence and leadership skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethics<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and accountability skills<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and problem-solving skill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:careers@foodcoonline.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>careers@foodcoonline.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the \u201cJob Title\u201d as the subject of the email<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>30th June, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foodco Limited \u2013 We are a diversified consumer goods company with interests in retail, fast food restaurants, entertainment and manufacturing.
