Our goal is to provide access to short term unsecured loans, which is easily accessible.<\/p>\n<p>We cater to the demography currently undeserved by the Commercial banks in our aim to help increase financial inclusion of the Nigerian population. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Microfinance Bank with a vision to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria by Leveraging on Technology is currently recruiting for a dynamic, flexible and experienced Accountant who is able to work independently with little or no supervision to join our accounting department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full responsibility for the production of monthly management accounts<\/li>\n<li>Review and approve all reconciliation and schedules such as bank statements, schedule of accrued charges, prepayments etc.<\/li>\n<li>Statutory reporting and year-end duties<\/li>\n<li>Consolidation and reporting to senior management<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly budgetary control and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of overall annual budget of the bank, including the assumptions and the ratios.<\/li>\n<li>Treasury management and monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Manage account payables and receivables activities.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct a finance audit periodically and recommend improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Develop financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain financial statements for future reference.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and manage expenses within the established budget.<\/li>\n<li>Work with External Auditors for the yearly audit of the accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Raising invoices and ensuring invoices are paid promptly and on time.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation and review of all monthly and quarterly reports for Board, Shareholders, Regulatory bodies etc.<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on-budget implementations and limits as it relates to each department. Investigates variances between budget and actual.<\/li>\n<li>Perform financial control functions.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage liquidity management tools<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of monthly management accounts and other financial accounts<\/li>\n<li>Assist Head of Accounts in financial management and reporting activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of B.Sc \/ HND in Accounting \/ Finance \/ Economics<\/li>\n<li>Professional qualification would be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>MUST have a minimum of 3 Years professional experience with at least 1 year in a Microfinance bank, Audit or any Financial Institution.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and organization skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong Stakeholder Management and team player.<\/li>\n<li>Self Starter and ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of popular core banking products.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel &amp; Word;<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of IFRS and Management Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of CBN regulatory reporting<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and analytical skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:silver_peace89@yahoo.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>silver_peace89@yahoo.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0using the \u201cJob Title\u201d as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>30th June, 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>If you are not contacted at least 2 weeks after the closing date advertised please note that your application was not successful<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MKOBO is a fully licensed Microfinance bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lagos, Nigeria.
