They take personal responsibility for Andela\u2019s ability to continue to deliver value to our partners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specifically, you&#8217;ll:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use your knowledge in your core technology to delight our partners around the world.<\/li>\n<li>Be responsible for the coding standards, conduct and deliverables of your fast-paced, distributed, teams, by proactively communicating and prioritizing effectively.<\/li>\n<li>Act as role-model even in the most difficult and challenging situations, using constructive feedback, mentorship and universal respect.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Your typical week would include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborating with design, analytics, support, and product management to understand the problems we want to solve and exploring how we can solve them<\/li>\n<li>Discussing and collaboratively solving engineering and product problems with engineering collaborators in Slack or Zoom<\/li>\n<li>Opening a Pull Request to implement the next most important feature or fix the most critical bug<\/li>\n<li>Trying to reproduce a reported bug and responding to issues we\u2019ve received from the community<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing your teammates&#8217; Pull Requests and providing helpful feedback<\/li>\n<li>Working with your engineering manager in your one-on-one meetings to grow your team and career<\/li>\n<li>Talking with users to discover what they love and what their pain points are.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, scope, and implement technical solutions that scale across multiple web applications<\/li>\n<li>Collaboratively define and prioritize projects and tasks<\/li>\n<li>Drive thoughtful conversations around technical issues and opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Review code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback for your team and the community<\/li>\n<li>Triage, reproduce, and debug technical support requests, bugs, and feature requests reported by users in our Issues on our website.<\/li>\n<li>Provide compassionate technical leadership, mentorship, pairing opportunities, and code reviews to encourage the growth of others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>High degree of empathy<\/li>\n<li>6+ years experience as a full-time professional coder using Ruby on Rails.<\/li>\n<li>Experience team leading\/management.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working asynchronously on a remote, distributed team (does not have to be professional experience)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to draw on both system design and software engineering concepts and blend those perspectives pragmatically based on project needs<\/li>\n<li>Experience building highly available services at scale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/jobs\/view\/1898055566\/\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
