We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Government &amp; Industry Relations Manager &#8211; West Africa<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lagos, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> The Market Area Head of GIR<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Exciting Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As Market Area GIR manager in West Africa, this role is responsible to support on creating a legislative and regulatory environment for Ericsson\u2019s and our customers\u2019 business through thought leadership and trusted advice.<\/li>\n<li>And to help influence governments, authorities and industry organizations, in policies, legislation and regulations for ICT and trade to secure Ericsson business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>You Will<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Activate Policy Influencing capabilities for ICT policies, legislation and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to Ericsson regional and global internal GIR networks<\/li>\n<li>Build and maintain relations and position brand towards GIR target groups, politicians, government authorities, regulators, embassies, trade, business and industry organizations<\/li>\n<li>Participate\/Represent Market area in external Industry\/GIR bodies<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to Ericsson regional and global internal GIR networks<\/li>\n<li>Promote external regulatory positions<\/li>\n<li>Support strategic regulatory outlook<\/li>\n<li>Support on request to the Ericsson strategy process with regulatory expertise<\/li>\n<li>Support on developing local GIR influencing plans aligned with Ericsson regulatory objectives<\/li>\n<li>Find\/utilize GIR influencing opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Cooperate with Customer units to support regulatory and policy issues in the Customer dimension<\/li>\n<li>Organize and drive initiatives, workshops or activities to drive the GIR agenda with GIR partners.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and describe GIR topics of key importance to Ericsson and its customers<\/li>\n<li>Formulate objectives, drive activities and metrics for identified topics<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with marketing to increase impact of regulatory topics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nYou should also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post-secondary degree in Law, Business Administration, Science or a similar area, or corresponding acquired skills\/knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Broad, general ICT industry competence<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed understanding of national policies, regulations and legislation, and associated processes and actors<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed understanding of regional and global policies, regulations and legislation, processes and actors; where relevant<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of relationships and influences between national, regional and global policies\/regulations and processes<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify, analyze and describe significance of regulatory (and related policy) initiatives and trends to the telecom market in general and to Ericsson\u2019s customers and business in particular<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify regulatory-induced business opportunities and constraints<\/li>\n<li>Strategic utilization of influencing and lobbying skills based on effective communication and active engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience from leading virtual teams<\/li>\n<li>Experience from working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To be successful in the role you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Government &amp;
