We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Nursing Officer (Paediatric)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Descriptions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As a nurse, to provide quality care to neonates and\u00a0 identifies changes in a neonate&#8217;s signs and symptoms and intervenes in emergency situations.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support and assistance to new mothers including feeding advice and assistance with general parent crafting.<\/li>\n<li>Be available for &#8220;on call&#8221; roster as required to provide escort for midwifery patient requiring transfer or assistance if more than one patient in Delivery Suite.<\/li>\n<li>Provide quality nursing care that includes assessment, planning and evaluation of care.<\/li>\n<li>Performs physical examinations, such as measuring vitals, taking blood and urine samples, and ordering diagnostic tests<\/li>\n<li>Identifies learning needs and actions as able, or discusses with the relevant manager either before or during regular performance review processes.<\/li>\n<li>Active participation in Health Service activities and meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain interest and understanding of current trends in nursing and in the healthcare industry.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a professional approach in regards to time keeping, appearance and behaviour.<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in customer service, facilitating relations with patients, extended families, friends and the broader community<\/li>\n<li>Provide emergency care and advice to patients presenting to the emergency department as required.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate competency in professional and clinical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate documentation and discharge planning for patients as required.<\/li>\n<li>To effectively and efficiently use ward equipment and supplies.<\/li>\n<li>To communicate effectively with patients, nursing colleagues and all members of the healthcare team<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with medical, allied health and other nursing staff to ensure continuity of patient care.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain interest and understanding of current trends in nursing and in the healthcare industry.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a professional approach in regard to time keeping, appearance and behaviour.<\/li>\n<li>Excellence in customer service, facilitating relations with patients, extended families, friends and the broader community.<\/li>\n<li>Practices in accordance with the Deda Hospital\u2019s Vision, Values and Core Objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be RN \/ RM \/ Paediatric Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years post graduation experience as a Registered Nurse.<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of practical\u00a0 experience with Neonates.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of current issues, trends and research in acute services and maternity services \/ early years \/ NICU<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Hausa Language will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>To apply\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV only using &#8220;Peadiatric Nurse&#8221; as subject of the email to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:career@dedahospital.com\" target=\"_blank\">career@dedahospital.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>24th July, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEDA\u00a0Hospital is a leading Nigerian healthcare provision facility with a history of successful health outcomes for our clients.
