Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC)<\/strong> is the pioneer and leader of the petroleum industry in Nigeria. It has the largest acreage in the country from which it produces some 43 per cent of the nation’s oil. The company’s operations are concentrated in the Niger Delta and adjoining shallow offshore areas where it operates in an oil mining lease area of around 31,000 square kilometres.<\/p>\n Job ID: F19339<\/p>\n SPDC is currently involved in a multi-million dollar oil and gas project in the Niger Delta region with the objective of increasing production to help meet the world\u2019s growing demand for energy. The Logistics Department is responsible for the provision of all land, air and marine logistic support to Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN).<\/p>\n Shell Nigeria is currenly looking for Marine Fleet Operations Team Leader<\/strong> for it’s operations in port harcourt Nigeria<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Responsibilities<\/span>:<\/strong> Manage port operations at main SPDC jetty in the East and provide required supports at jetties in other Field Logistic Bases.<\/p>\n Draw up and implement IntegrityAssurance plan for marine vessels and facilities in the East.<\/p>\n Drive compliance to marine operational procedures,work instructions and HSSE standards to meet Goal Zero target.<\/p>\n Identify and implement continuous improvements in area of operation<\/p>\n Prepare and manage anual budget for Marine operation in the East.<\/p>\n Requirements<\/span>:<\/strong> Oil & Gas working experience of at least 8 years<\/p>\n Good leadership skills<\/p>\n High proficiency in computer applications<\/p>\n Analytical skills<\/p>\n Good journey management skills<\/p>\n Application Deadline<\/span>: Friday 11 September 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nImplement contract strategy for operate and maintain company owned heavy and light marine vessels and provision of heavy and light marine vessels.<\/p>\n
\nCommand and Shipboard Operations\u2019 Experience as Master Mariner Class1
\nWorking Knowledge of both local and international marine regulations and standards.<\/p>\n
