The hotel bar is stocked with a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and guests can relax in the well-furnished lounge area.<\/p>\n<p>Guests can also enjoy local and continental dishes at the on-site restaurant. The fully-equipped gym is open to all guests. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Chef<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Lekki, Lagos<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales<\/li>\n<li>Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Cook food in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Delegate tasks to kitchen staff<\/li>\n<li>Inform wait staff about daily specials<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appealing plate presentation<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Cooks and assist as needed<\/li>\n<li>Slightly modify recipes to meet customers\u2019 needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)<\/li>\n<li>Monitor food stock and place orders<\/li>\n<li>Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items<\/li>\n<li>Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Culinary School Diploma preferred<\/li>\n<li>Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management abilities<\/li>\n<li>Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with sanitation regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@extendedstay.ng\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>jobs@extendedstay.ng<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0stating the Job Title as the subject of the email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>15th August, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Extended Stay &#8211; Grand Hotel is the hotel that specializes on Comfort and Luxury.
