The Oleaster is located in the heart of Nigeria &#8211; Abuja. We are currently recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Head of Accounts<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: Abuja<br \/>\n<strong> Reports to:<\/strong> Medical Director<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations of The Oleaster and its related businesses<\/li>\n<li>Provide managerial and oversight for all accounting functions<\/li>\n<li>Provide accurate, timely periodic financial statements of The Oleaster and its related businesses to management<\/li>\n<li>Provide direction to all accounting staff<\/li>\n<li>Provide oversight of assets and finances of all The oleaster and its related businesses<\/li>\n<li>Manages overall responsibility for accounting related information from various businesses<\/li>\n<li>Oversight include monitoring purchases compared to the budget, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and capital expenditures\/equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Reconciliation of all cash accounts and monitoring of cash receipts and disbursements.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate performance and professional development of staff.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the management of the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of The Oleaster and its related businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.<\/li>\n<li>Supervises end-of-period processes and supports the analysis of the periodical business performance, budgets, and forecasts.<\/li>\n<li>Management and coordination of activities relating to Vendors\/Procurement.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for timely monthly, separate and consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission to management<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns.<\/li>\n<li>Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Review &amp; approve payment vouchers &amp; journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing the maintenance and reconciliation of Goods Receipts\/ Invoice Receipt Account.<\/li>\n<li>Create and enhance financial policies and procedures across the accounting department as well as the wider Finance department.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures consistency in procedures and policies across the accounting department and that these policies are appropriately set for the achievement of the business\u2019s overall goals and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Leads compliance with the business\u2019s internal corporate framework policies and finance manuals.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly evaluating of Unapplied Advance Payment to determine the risk level.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances<\/li>\n<li>Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Develops reports on all accounting related matters inclusive of taxation matters. These reports accompany pro-active advice and recommendations on the business\u2019s financial approaches from an accounting and taxation perspective.<\/li>\n<li>Formulate and oversee the implementation of the company\u2019s accounting policies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure completeness and accuracy of the company\u2019s records (e.g. Clients, Suppliers, Banks, Employees, Management, Government and its relevant agencies etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Perform any other duty assigned by the Medical Director.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Experience &amp; Skills \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of MSc in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>First Degree must be in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Certified member of ICAN\/ACCA<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 4- 5 years\u2019 core experience in accounting\/management account<\/li>\n<li>Excellent strategic planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and highly meticulous.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and manage a team effectively<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Oracle Financials or any other financial software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications and CV to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:recruitment@theoleaster.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>recruitment@theoleaster.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with the Position as the Subject of the email: eg: Head of Accounts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Not Specified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Interested candidates must reside in Abuja.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Oleaster is a Behavioral Health Center that provides a holistic treatment approach needed to fight addiction and other mental health issues.
