Job Title: Team Lead IT Audit

Job Descriptions

  • Extract value from what we already have by focusing on optimizing processes within the Unit/Department in line with the value creation philosophy.  This includes individual contributions and recommendations to improve existing business project/initiative, capital/budget efficiency activities within the Unit, contracts review and negotiation in collaboration with the Procurement team, structural changes within the Unit etc.
  • Drive Innovation by identifying and taking advantage of new business opportunities, e.g., by stimulating and encouraging new business opportunities, launch of products, product/process innovation, business model innovation etc.
  • Maintain leadership in the ICT/Digital industry by influencing stakeholders within your immediate ecosystem for MTNN’s benefit. This includes participation in credible external think-tank sessions, involvement in inter-divisional focus Group sessions to improve business performance etc.  Enhance/expand MTN’s role in the larger national macro environment by participating in CSR projects and/or NGO’s, involvement in recognized professional institutions, think-tank activities etc.
  • Role model the vital behaviours needed to sustain organisational performance and drive people management activities by being the principal coach for your direct reports using the people management framework. Participate in employee engagement projects such as mentorship, facilitating programs, etc. In addition, support recruitment, on boarding and grievance management processes etc.
  • Involvement in IS and Network Group process designs.
  • Direct audit team in evaluating data controls, integrity checks, and audit trails of information technology in operation.
  • Conduct data extraction, analysis, and security reviews utilizing various database, spreadsheet and software tools.
  • Perform routine and special information technology audits with basic understanding of information technology internal control concepts, and in accordance with professional standards.
  • Prepare work papers for assigned tasks/audit procedures in accordance with the internal audit manual.
  • Document relevant facts and information to support testing and conclusions, enabling reviewers follow the logic and methodology applied.
  • Follow work program as developed by the IT Audit Manager, seeking guidance when clarification of assigned tasks is needed.
  • Maintain all audit administration documentation and information as required on routine and special information technology audits.
  • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.

Job Title: Project Coordinator – Fibre Tx Implementation
Location:

Job Descriptions

  • Develop Best Project Models for effective Project management for running Fibre Optics infrastructure Projects in MTN Nigeria as it relates Network Group Implementation Department.
  • Maintain a sound working relationship between the project implementation team and all associated parties, within and outside MTN.

  • Processing and following up with Finance department to ensure timely release of Purchase Order towards payment for Permits to States and Federal Government for fibre infrastructure projects.
  • Attending to Federal and States Government in resolving Right Of Way (ROW) Permits issued to MTN for Fibre Projects.
  • Ensure proper archiving procedure for all completed MTN Fibre Network Projects.
  • Participate and add inputs to weekly Fibre project Meetings with implementation contractors.
  • Monitoring, collating, writing and submitting weekly progress report on fibre projects under implementation to Fibre Management team.
  • Coordinate Final Acceptance Test and Handover of completed fibre network to Operations Unit

Job Title: Network Security Planning Engineer
Location:

Job Description

  • To plan and implement a highly effective and cost efficient, end-to-end network security framework within the MTNN voice and customer data networks.
  • Technical Solutions – Evaluation & Identification
  • Evaluate and determine the network security needs of all internal and external data customers.
  • Understand financial impact of implementing new or upgraded security technologies.
  • Interface with other departments within Network Group, as well as the IS Group and assist in problem-solving in the MPLS WAN and IP LAN with specific emphasis on security
  • Design, installs, configures, manages, and maintains mission critical enterprise firewalls, IPS, VPN and other technical controls.
  • Implement and maintain a suite of security metrics to enable the effectiveness of the security strategy and operation to be measured and related security issues to be understood and managed
  • Implement network access control across different network segment on the IP/MPLS network

Job Title: ESS Specialist

  • Maintain prescribed computerized maintenance management system and prescribed management information system for ESS operations in the region.
  • Produce monthly reports on ESS activities within the region.
  • Assist to direct the implementation and maintenance of efficient management information system for ESS operations in the assigned region.
  • Coordinate data gathering for the duration of NEPA (Local Power Source) power outages, power consumptions for the rural and urban BTS/TX sites including the switching centres within the assigned region.
  • Monitor maintenance contracts for regional contractors.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes and procedures to foster efficiency of ESS operations within the assigned region.

Job Title: NSMC, Data/Internet Engineer
Location: Lagos

  • Provide regular updates on MTNN performance and other network issues to the management, call centres, sales and distribution, marketing and other relevant departments in .the organization.
  • Ensure real time performance monitoring of all network elements
  • Monitor performance of all ATM core devices i.e. Stingers (DSLAM), PSAX and generate weekly report on them.
  • Monitor traffic utilization on Core ATM pipes on the ATM Network.
  • Perform real time monitoring of all CPE devices (Copper DSL and Fiber Modems) on the network.
  • Monitor and acknowledge all alarms from all ATM Core equipment and CPEs
  • Configure new VCs on ATM devices for new installation on the ATM Network.
  • Administer new internet and monitor activities of clients on the Radius Authentication Server.
  • Relate with Customer Support Engineers as regards new installations and clients connection on ports.
  • Manage interfaces (ports) on the ATM (DSLAM) Stinger device.
