Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to – Finance Controller

Job Description:

• Command on the product costing and overhead absorption to products.
• Monthly reconciliation of direct cost ledgers & passing necessary rectification entries in the GLs.
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, classification of expenditures and providing necessary reports to the Finance Controller on the monthly expenses.
• Assist senior accountant/Commercial Controller in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Accounting Export realizations and tracking the export rebate benefits.
• Preparation of logistics cost tracker and reviewing the direct cost overruns and reports to management.
• Identification, recording, accounting and timely capitalization of Fixed Assets and updating information to SSC.
• Accounting Accruals and creation of provisions in the books.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
• 1 – 3 years work experience.
• Proven experience as a junior accountant
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
