Job Title: Quality Assurance Pharmacist

Job Description
- The main responsibility of the Quality Assurance Pharmacist is to ensure continued compliance of the technical aspects of the business.
- The purpose is to ensure compliance with all the provisions of the Pharmacy Act.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Review and approve quality-related documentation, including batch records, specifications, and validation protocols.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain quality control processes.
- Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines, addressing any non-compliance issues.
- Provide training to staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
- Review and approve the release of finished pharmaceutical products for distribution.
- Identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement and participate in process enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical industry with at least 4+ years in QA/QC type roles supporting commercial pharmaceutical operations, ideally in a production QA support, technical manufacturing projects or release roles
- In-depth knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
- Licensed pharmacist in Nigeria
- Shows high level of integrity in all customer related and business activities.
- Understanding of common medical warehousing standards
- Experience in capacity development and delivery of trainings
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with quality audits and process improvement.
- Highest degree of personal and professional integrity, honesty, and ethics.
- Continuous quality improvement mindset.
- Leadership by example orientation.
- Actively engage with operations and HQ management.
