Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • The Quality Assurance Engineer will improve and maintain the system of quality and reliability testing for our products and development processes.
  • Assessing software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes.
  • You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and automated tests.
  • You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are resolved.

Responsibilities
Test Planning and Strategy:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with testing tools and test strategies.

Test Execution and Bug Tracking:

  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts open-source tools.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Monitor debugging process results.
  • Investigate the cause of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
  • Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

Collaboration and communication:

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g, developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

Requirements

  • At least three years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or related field.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and testing design.
