Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) – The Incorporated Trustees of Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (here in after referred to as “Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE)”) a local not-for-profit, faith-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). One of WEWE’s core ideologies is to be the most financially clean and compliant local NGO in Nigeria and Africa. We want to prove to the world that not all Nigerian NGOs are corrupt, and we want to be an example (An Ambassador) of a credible NGO in Nigeria and Africa. Job Title: Finance Officer (Trainee Program)
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• S/he will be preparing monthly financial reports.
• S/he will be preparing monthly bank reconciliation reports.
• S/he will be posting CBO’s financial reports.
• S/he will post, maintain, and reconcile financials in QuickBooks Accounting software.
• S/he will prepare other periodic financial reports as may be requested.
• S/he will prepare cash advance liquidations for review and submission to the donor.
• S/he will support the successful external audit of WEWE corporate finances yearly.
• S/he will facilitate effective, efficient, and timely financial transaction recordings, review all postings from state offices and merge with HQ postings.
• S/he will support proper budget monitoring/management in a manner that will aid good management decisions on project expenditures.
• S/he will ensure compliance with statutory deductions and remittances.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Interested candidates should possess a BSc or HND in relevant fields with 1 – 2 years work experience.
