Adexen is looking for Management Accountants for a large international Oil & Gas Company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
· The Management Accountant is primarily responsible for taking actions that ensure transactions impacting the financial reports are properly monitored, controlled and posted to the general ledger in the proper period.
· He will be responsible for a business unit.
· He will also provide management with reports to assist in decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the Demand Planning process (upper stream) by enforcing the planning discipline through elaboration and implementation of proper planning tools such as: Sales Forecast, Stock & Sales Report, Performance Report, Week Of Sales/stock and challenge all concerned parties on building blocks to ensure effective rotation of stocks (market trends, sales history & trends, running rate and growth rationales, etc)
· Manage the Product Supply process (upper stream) including MRP, commercial & shipping terms, reconciliation with suppliers, sourcing optimization, suppliers service level agreement, etc
· Manage the different aspects of the logistics operation (lower stream) including importation & clearance, transportation, warehousing of both raw material & finished goods and distribution of the goods.
· He will also manage the Third Party Logistics provider to ensure proper storage and distribution of finished goods across 58 Distribution Centers scattered pan Nigeria
· Be a principal negotiator on behalf of Company including resolution of commercial terms and conditions, negotiation of back charges and major change orders.
· Measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to Senior Management.
· Work closely with the distributor network and ensure constant availability of the products across the country, while avoiding over-stock situation both in-house and at customers end
· Develop and Implement cost effective solutions for process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Good degree in Accounting, Finance
· Good knowledge of MS Office
· 3 to 5 years experience in audit, accounting or bank
· Advance Excel user
· Knowledge of an ERP (SAP or other) is a plus
· Leadership and personal ambition

My relevant experience/skillset is that I am a CIMA qualified accountant with over fifteen years post qualification experience.
I have a large amount of Management Accounting and FMCG experience gained in different industries and organisations (Philips Lighting, Beko (UK Ltd)
I also have experience in the more traditional Financial Controllers’ role and am therefore comfortable dealing with external bodies in regards Audit and Statutory Accounting matters.
More recently I have been working as a Finance Manager on a Transport For London Highways Contract being delivered by EnterpriseMouchel. This role being a number one on site for a project with annual turnover in excess of 30 million pounds.The experience that this and other roles has given me has prepared me for and developed the skill set required to deliver all the requirements of this role, I have successfully done the things that need to be done to both develop and deliver robust and accurate management information,as well as completing the statutory reporting requirements.
Whilst being very pragmatic and hands on where required,with the attention to detail associated with being a qualified accountant.
I am also very commercially aware and am able to view corporate goals with a view to practical delivery,
The direct responsibilities and experience that I have performed / acquired over the last 15 years give me an all round accounting and management ability that I would be able to bring to this role, which being in a new sector for me will provide me with new and different challenges whilst fully utilising my skill set. Specifically I am fully IT literate and am an advanced Excel user, often using Excel to build complicated financial models.

I can draw effective operating model in MS Excel and MS Access. I have had good exposure to the use of various accounting software that even any new package can not be of any difficulty. I can easily adapt to any new system. The Job of a Management accountant requires a good knowledge of quantitatives and logic which is my special area of gift. I am hard working and honest.
