Job Title: Chief Engineer

About the job

  • Liaise with the units OIM in all matters concerning the execution of all on-board activities, mobilizations and demobilization of all personnel and equipment and in order to prevent unwanted interaction with the unit’s mode of operation
  • Ensure that all site activities are performed in compliance with the governing safety standards and safety management system
  • Perform quality checks and supervise quality performance
  • Supervise and assist when required the Contractors and Activity Leads in their execution of activities
  • Follow-up on mobilizations, execution of on-site activities, demobilization and on-site close-out in cooperation with Assisting Project Manager or Project Manager as instructed
  • Issue a Weekly Performance Report (WPR)
  • Follow-up on personnel issues within the Site Team
  • Establish and maintain good hand-over routines
  • Ensure that the Permit to Work system is adhered to for all project activities
  • Ensure focus on safety awareness  in all aspects of all activities
  • Ensure that all relevant policies, procedures/task plans and check lists are available and communicated to relevant personnel
  • Supervise contractors adherence to safety and take action as appropriate.

Requirements

  • B.Sc/M.Sc in relevant subject or Chief Engineer/Technical Manager
  • Experience from similar positions from larger projects within the international oil & gas industry or from positions dealing with technical maintenance and maintenance philosophy. MSUP, 2nd ENG, Shipyard supervisor, Shipyard engineer.
  • Preferred candidates are Romanians

Requirements

  • Graduates with a vocational, Bachelor or Master’s degree in any one of the following courses:
    • Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Instrument and control,Chemical Engineering.
  • The candidates must have a maximum of 3 years relevant working experience after graduation. Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is beneficial.

Job Title: Plant/Operations Superintendent

About the Job

  • WTS Energy is seeking to hire Plant/Operations Superintendent for one of its client who is a reputed Nigerian Indigenous Compressors and Power systems service company.
  • They provide maintenance and operations services for Oil & Gas process plants and power plants.
  • Plant Superintendent will ensure the operational stability, improvement of plant general conditions and accomplishment of the production targets through the overall supervision of the operational, maintenance, administrative and HSE activities, always complying with all the HSE regulations and O&M contract.

Responsibilities

  • Overall coordination of the operational activities (regular, start-up, shut-down) together with the Operations Supervisor as per services agreement and contract. Decision making as regards start-up or shutdown of some equipment according to the specific situation. To coordinate and assist in successful commissioning/start-up of new equipment.
  • Overall coordination of the Maintenance activities together with the Mechanical and I&E Supervisors, assuring the following of the best practices. To assure the accomplishment of the Predictive and Preventive plans. To ensure that all failures of any equipment are thoroughly investigated to avoid recurrence.
  • To ensure that all the HSE principles and recommendations are followed. Liaise with HSE on closing out pending issues.
  • Maintain good relationships with the customer
  • To manage the logistics of the personnel (Expatriates and Nationals) coming in and out the site, including rotations, daily transportation, and any vendor support that may be required.
  • To manage Spare Parts following ABC inventory instructions, custody of hand tools, parts and facilities.  Assure the good functioning of the Warehouse.
  • To ensure that the Daily and Monthly mass balance reports are accurate, concise, and on time to all required parties.
  • Submits Work Orders, Monthly Consumables, Technical Reports, Safety Meetings, Personnel Headcounts, and any HSE documentation that may be requested.
  • Submit to the CAPSL accountant the monthly petty cash reconciliation report
  • Assist Operations Manager in establishing technical procedures that result in improved field service to the client.
  • Direction and evaluation of the training of Nigerian technical personnel on site. Develops other personnel in the area of managing mid-level personnel, trains his replacement. Keep track of the team’s progress in the required skills for the designated positions, identify and report potential training activities, provide training and transference of knowledge.
  • Ensure that all community issues are passed along to the customer for their interaction.
  • Motivates the personnel under his supervision.
  • Participates in personnel planning and development, performance management, team building and manpower requirements.
  • Supervises and takes part of the plant house keeping, maintaining the plant in the best possible conditions of Safety, Order and Cleaning.
  • Ensures good working relationships in the entire operations team

Requirements

  • Technical or Engineering degree in Industrial Processes, Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum
  • Experience: 15 – 20 years total with at least 2 years in similar jobs
  • Good knowledge of PC tools (Microsoft Office)
