Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Hours: Mondays through Fridays (8am-5pm) – might be required to work extended hours as necessary

Job Summary:
- Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Gastroenterologist. The Gastroenterologist will deploy expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal and hepatological diseases of patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns and carry out proper diagnosis
- Perform specialized tests to diagnose patients and advise on necessary treatments or preventive measures where required
- Determine the proper courses or requirements for treatment.
- Consult with a patient’s key physician to understand trends and advise on necessary course of action
- Analyze patient historical data and advise on future medical care as necessary
- Consult with other specialists, such as oncologists, in the case of cancer.
- Perform endoscopic procedures to inspect internal organs as the case may be
- Perform X-Ray, MRI, and ultrasound scanning as required for determining patient health status
- Perform surgery in the digestive tract of patients
- Liaise with other specialists as regard patient specific health status and care needs as necessary
Person Specification:
- Medical Degree.
- A minimum of 7 years concrete experience.
- Must be licensed/certified to practice as a Gastroenterologist
- Must have in-depth work experience and should have worked in similar capacities within the Healthcare and Diagnostics space.
- Attentive to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures (highly essential)
- Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs and ultrasound scanning.
