BayOne Consults – Our client, a youth and woman-led non-profit organization (NGO) focused on positively impacting the lives of people in communities, especially marginalized groups, the vulnerable, and the poor, through socio-economic development interventions, is recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

 

 

Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Founder / President
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Volunteer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general support and assistance to the Founder/Presidentin execution of their work.
  • Manage Founder’soffice including communication, information, public relations, board meetings, logistics and appointments.
  • Assistin preparation of documentation, reports and presentation for meetings.
  • Manage the Founderscalendar and diary for meetings, appointments, events and other engagements
  • Maintain the necessary information data base for theoffice and contact database for relevant stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Facilitate travelbooking for air tickets, accommodation etc
  • Handle all Founder’srequests and inquiries, when appropriate
  • Provide Secretarial and Administrative Services to the Board of Trusteeteam.
  • Manage Email correspondence with expretnal partners.
  • Manage efficient filing system..
  • Take and maintain minutes of staff meetings
  • Respond to routine letters.
  • Manage office petty cash, and book keeping.
  • Implementing programs and projects to help organizations meet goals and objectives
  • Act as Laiason, and inerface with target organizations, agencies and stakeholders
  • Apply project management knowledge regarding development, staffing, budgeting and scheduling
  • Researching grant proposals and funding opportunities
  • Developing and writing of effective letters, presentation, andproposals.
  • Developing relationships with various community, Governmental and other non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness and build resources.
  • Provide support to program staff in organizing workshops, trainings and conferences, charity project outreaches.
  • Maintains positive visibility, good public image, and good public relations for the NGO.
  • Carry out any other assignments as may be assigned by the Founder/President.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Must have high level of diplomacy and ability to keep confidential information.
  • Excellent written and spoken English – good grammar, spelling
  • Should exercise high level of interpersonal skills, excellent organisation skills, problem solving, trust, confidentiality
  • Ability to make decisions, gather, synthesise, and report information, including actionable recommendations
  • Experience in proactive coordination and the construction and maintenance of multi-stakeholder networks
  • Proven track record of producing reports and analyses of the highest caliber.
  • Excellent computing skills.

  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn and ability to work on flexible schedule.
  • Ability to multiple tasks and meet deadlines, must have initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Good written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Possess excellent people skills and ability to motivate to achieve results; good management and supervision skills and result oriented.

  • Excellent technological orientation and good working knowledge with MS Office suite.
  • Basic knowledge in financial management including budgeting.
  • Commitment to and understanding of the NGO’svision, mission and values.

Work Incentives:

  • Monthly Allowance of N50,000 – N100,000
  • Data call credit and transport allowances are included in the package, with commission-based rewards.
