Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs (CC&CA) demonstrates ways that IBM innovation, skills and technology leadership can make a difference to critical societal issues that impact our business, including public education, the digital divide, global and local humanitarian needs. In partnership with IBM Research and business units we provide reference sites for new solutions, deliver new patents and develop new products

CC&CA builds IBM brand value in the marketplace bringing IBM values close to our clients and the communities where we do business. It positions IBM as a leader in Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and creates positive recognition for IBM through awards and publicity. It contributes to make IBM an employer of choice. The growing focus on the role of business in society, by IBM’s stakeholders and Clients, has strengthened the overall importance of CC&CA to our business strategy.

Role Description

The CC&CA manager is a member of the marketing communications and citizenship team. The manager is responsible for the implementation, management and promotion of global CC&CA programmes and activities in their country. They are also the point of coordination for CSR, and lead in giving visibility to IBM’s CSR leadership. The person in this role works closely with the Country General Manager, marketing & communications, government relations, HR, environmental affairs, and the wider IBM country management team to create value for the business from our CC&CA and CSR leadership. Externally they form partnerships with key public sector and not-for-profit organizations and interact with a network of thought leaders and influencers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To own, drive and implement the CC&CA global strategy and programmes in country.
  • To develop sustained partnerships and relationships with key organisations and influencers relevant to programmes and the business.
  • To raise the profile of the IBM corporation locally focusing on IBM as a leader in innovation, corporate citizenship and CSR, and an attractive employer.
  • To work with the marketing and communications team in country to ensure effective communication of IBM’s key messages and strategies relating to CC&CA and CSR to internal and external audiences, and coordinate with other IBM functions such as environmental management HR etc.
  • Be recognised as a team player in the community and within IBM
  • Manage budget for delivery of CC&CA programmes in country and associated processes and business controls.


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years experience in Develop Communications Strategy/Plan
  • At least 2 years experience in Perform Global Team Building
  • English: Fluent


  • Social Sciences
  • At least 4 years experience in Develop Communications Strategy/Plan
  • At least 3 years experience in Perform Global Team Building
