Job Title: Lead Game Developer (Mobile)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief:

• We believe video games offer a new and immersive way to reimagine, document and preserve history. We are building a very small core team to develop our first mobile game to introduce African stories to new generations and audiences.

Your role within Kucheza Gaming:

• Lead the Game Development function of a very very small team
• Enjoy playing video games or any type of games
• Deliver a game prototype on a very small budget

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
• Required Experience: Prior experience using Unity and C# Expert.
• Have a good eye for both the visual and functional aspects of the project.
• You are an experienced Unity and C# Expert and have several years of solid experience in working as Unity Expert within the gaming industry.
• You have experience with Android Mobile Development.
• You are self organised, motivated, focused and disciplined; a do-er & maker.
• You have excellent knowledge of the Unity game engine, 2D, C# and OOP principles and you have shipped at-least 1 mobile game with Unity3D or similar program.
• You have an excellent understanding and practical experience of applying Software Architecture, how to structure a Unity project that scales, its workflows, pipelines, etc.
• You have excellent knowledge on Git and other versioning control tools.
• Your understanding of and experience with cross-platform development and client server applications is excellent.
• You are used to working in agile, fast paced environments.
• You are a team player and excellent communicator who loves to work in an international team.
• Your written and spoken English is excellent.
• You must love to roll up your sleeves and get dirty with Unity3D; integrating textures, animation, meshes, adjusting lighting, setting camera angles, optimisation, audio.
