Job Title: KYC Analyst
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief:

  • The KYC (Know Your Customer) analysts will be contributing to the organizational efforts to reduce exposure to risk by verifying the identities of new customers, agents and merchant, play essential roles in preventing unscrupulous individuals from using financial businesses for illegal transactions.

Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Reviewing new customer accounts and verifying their identities
  • Assessing risks and compliance issues associated with customers or products.
  • Studying market trends and evaluating customer behaviour.
  • Assisting efforts aimed at preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and other illicit financial activities
  • Compiling accurate and up-to-date data on customers for compliance reasons
  • Leveraging insights from customer behavioural research to improve customer experience
  • Liaising with management to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Preparing suspicious activity reports (SARs)
  • Reporting accounts with high risk or missing documentation to relevant officers
  • Performing complex data analysis to aid decision making
  • Reviewing customer accounts for instances of suspicious financial transactions

Requirements And Skills:

  • B.Sc / B.A / HND or equivalent Degree.
  • Must have completed NYSC
  • Show Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent reporting and observational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to apply discretion and sound decision-making skills during investigations
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects
  • Well-developed Microsoft office application skills
  • Good Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and use application and web portals
  • Ability to learn and review applicable regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and to liaise with other departments
  • Must have good planning and time management/prioritization skills
  • Data analysis skills, Self- driven and hardworking
  • Excellent Organizational, management and communication skills
  • Excellent research skills and familiarity with online/offline research tools
  • Must be creative, resourceful, flexible and a good team player
