Job Title: Communities Manager
Location: Lagos
Overview
- As the Community Manager of a new location, you will be an integral part of getting our operations, sales and marketing efforts off the ground.
- This role will be full-time and the schedule will regularly be Monday through Saturday. During the days of Monday to Friday regular business day working hours of 8:00am-6:00pm will apply while Saturday working hours will be 10am till 3:30pm with additional time needed depending on events for the weekday evenings and weekends.
- Proximity Space Co-working is seeking a Community Manager to assist in development, management, and promotion of the Proximity Space mission, community and culture
- We’re looking for a self-starter to manage a complex of space for startups/entrepreneurs, small businesses, and freelancers
- This person will be responsible for maximizing our occupancy through sales techniques and outstanding customer service, maintaining an extraordinary sense of community, running the day-to-day operations of the space, developing creative local marketing strategies, and planning engaging member events.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Sales experience is preferred
Competencies – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Proven proficiency in common computer software, including competency in Word, Excel and web-based content management systems like Google Drive and DropBox
- Openness to change is required
- Possible use of personal cell phone for business activity. (You will be given Calling Credit)
- Availability to work outside normal business hours if necessary; the community is a 24/7 accessible environment
- Sales experience is preferred
- Enjoys people and facilitating relationships
- Highly self-managed
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
- Enjoys arranging and organizing details
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in database systems, including data entry, data manipulation, building queries, and report generation
Requirements:
- Must have high level of customer service and customer-centric disposition
- Degree in the studies of business, communications, marketing, or other liberal arts degree fitting these skills and requirements
- Conduct sales tours to execute on sales strategy and maintain high occupancy
- Managing community initiatives designed to develop member relationships
- Inputting and maintaining accurate data across various platforms
- Overseeing and executing daily office operations
- Liaison with facilities team on building operations and maintenance
- Management of local vendors and potentially an Operations Associate
- Must be proficient in communications; both verbal and written
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites
- Creating a warm and welcoming environment via Industrious hospitality initiatives
- Resolve member issues with professionalism and patience
- Devise and execute local marketing strategies to generate leads
