Job Description
- Predesign feasibility studies on project viability in line with company development objectives.
- Brief Development
- Site Recce (Reconnaissance Survey)
- Property Acquisition- advising clients on property acquisition and assisting to source same
- Preliminary Design/Presentation- full schematic design and presentation using various up-to-date techniques
- Contract Documentation- determining, liaising with, and coordinating the activities of all other team members/consultants in the preparation of full tender documents for projects
- Production Drawings- production of full architectural working drawings
- Support Statutory Approvals process – obtaining Statutory Building Plan Approvals
- Tendering- full participation in all tendering processes, including most suitable method to adopt, selection of tenders, tender analysis and reporting, letting of all sub-contracts
- Post-Contract Administration- full post contract administration and project management to conclusion of contract
- Ensure by supervision that construction works are safely executed according to the project drawings and specifications.
- Supervise and instruct the construction team as well as subcontractor works
- Ensure project QA/QC (quality assurance and quality control) measures are met.
- Prepare progress reports
- Conduct/coordinate project site meetings
- Prepare interim payment certificates and valuations along with the quantity surveyor where necessary
- Compile punch list items and ensure prompt closeout before final hand over of facility to asset owner.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with company or government regulations;
- Recommend changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
- Liaise with sub-contractors, project manager and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties remain coordinated.
- Ensure project completion as per the set timeline
Experience
- Must be a COREN-licensed Engineer (Structural) with 8-10 years of experience
